August Newfoundland Cruise...

Halicat and Ms. Halicat have made reservations to take our vacation in Newfoundland this year.
We are leaving Halifax August 8th and traveling to North Sydney in Cape Breton to take the 6 hour Ferry across the Gulf of St Lawrence to Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland....
It is a 11 hour drive to Celtic Rendevous Cottages on the eastern coast of Canada's most eastern province. We will be spending four nights there before returning to Nova Scotia to spend a day cruising the Cabot trail in Cape Breton Then returning home on August 15th, our 25th wedding anniversery.

Anyone wishing to make the Prowl with us, is more than welcome......email or pm me if you need details...

our only plans are to make no plans .... cruise and see the beautiful countryside and use the cottage for our base.

Tomorrow is the day..
I'm leaving around 1pm to get up to Sydney Nova Scotia to catch the midnight Ferry over to Newfoundland... Its a 6 hour crossing arriving the next morning where we will have a 10 1/2 hour drive to get to our destination....If they have an internet Cafe where i'm staying, I will check in here sometime on Thursday... if not I will not be back online untill August 16th...

everything is packed... Transmission sensors, tools, inflator and plug kit, Motley Crue CD's.... all the essentials........

Post a lot of stuff for me to read when I get back......Don't let our "spot in the sun" wither while I'm gone...

Yeah, whenever I fly back from Egypt, I fly right over there. You think wow - North America - I'm home. Pretty wild how far north and east it is though. From flying over that to hitting JFK takes quite a while.

Looks beautiful, take plenty of pictures. Some of it reminds me of Whistler, Canada (on the opposite coast) - just beautiful God's country there. It's a step back in time.

Hey Guys,

I made it !

Wow what a drive... I was up for 36 hours , 17 of that was driving and 14 of that was in the rain.... heavy rain.... and fog......today is raining as well, but tomorrow is going to be nice and I can tell you that the pictures i am going to get are going to be OUTSTANDING......A full Day of travel for us tomorrow.....we are going to St. Johns and tour around that area.

Take care, I'll probably get back on here on later today if we don't go anywhere but Saturday to check in for sure...

I have a great deal of respect for this car now.... 120kmh in the heavy rain, out in the passing lane..... there are some stories around here about the " car from hell"....

Just got back from cruising to St. Johns.... It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. took lots of pictures to share with you when i get back....

got back yesterday...It sure is good to be home....

Encountered lots of rain... only really had 1 full day of sunshine and a couple of half days .... the rest of the time it pretty much poured...

I still managed to take 222 photos, some are real beauties...

i'm having trouble downloading them to the computer maybe because they were all hi-res...I will post a few later
