I have an old street dune buggy I've slowwly been working on. Need to put some wheels on this thing and a buddy of mine that has a prowler had a pair of peeling rears for cheap. These might be kind of big but I wanted a kind of hairy look to it. I really wanted to put 17's all the way round. Found a pair advertised on craigslist at a Chrysler dealer for what I thought was a good price-- The parts manager assured me they were 17's and they came with centre caps. He told me the owner of the dealership has a prowler and trailer that has never been registered and they just drive it around on their dealer plates. Since they are a 2 hour ferry trip away from me I had a friend pick them up and he told me they looked awesome- He's been holding them for the last 2 months. My wife and I went over this week-end and when I opened the boxes up there were 2 beautiful wheels and on the back is stamped- FOR TRAILER USE ONLY. So I guess I'm wondering if this is a better deal than what I thought although I still have to get a set for the front some time. My wife just sees these going into the garage with the rest of my accumulated stuff. Anyway just passing on the story of my find- enjoy the weekend.
