netflix - watch movies instantly

Are the 'numbers' of movies you are able to watch limited to your monthly plan though ? :?:

It's unlimited for viewing, but you can only view movies that they have online.(about 12000 titles) More recent titles are not online.. Interesting thing about it, it is HD capable. And they are saying they will support HD streaming in future. For $100, seems like a good deal.

have you checked WHAT is available 'online' ? :lol:


We tried this feature when we were on the road on business earlier this year
and the movies they had available to watch pretty much SUCKED ASS ! :lol:

Maybe they added some GOOD titles now, but at the time we ended up watching
"Loverboy" with Patrick Dempsey from 1989 :biggrin:

go wireless media server and if you have a projector, add the wireless HDMI adaptor. Gets rid of all your optical media and store all movies on cheap harddrives with cataloging features etc.

Yeah.. I did, lot of the suck-ass movies.. But also, fair amount of kid classics. I think it's a balance between hoping I can find a decent old classic - like ghost-busters, and saving the hunting for a cartoon dvd. The cool thing appears to be I can build my menu list online at netflix.. Pick the dvd's I want avail online, and ignore the rest. We'll see, maybe I am too optimistic on this one.

JMO, but I like this route vs. Media Server right now. Even though the menu editing blows.. This is good way to keep all your DVD's in one place.

Just hooked this up.. Very easy to configure + great quality. Only pitfall is what movies netflix has online. I would say it's worth the $100:tu::tu::tu:

PS - I hooked up to my wireless with WEP.. device supports this..

Netflix is offering HD on this now. Movie selection getting better, but not 100% yet. If you're looking for a xmas gadget. I would recommend :tu::tu::tu:

Buddy - this works with netflix, lets you watch movies online. slingbox lets you watch your tv via internet.. so you can watch from anywhere
