It was great seeing everybody there, especially meeting Scott and Dreamcast/Skankat!

Thanks for not showing the dirt on my car in the picture above!

Dreamcast, did you guys get home ok? What was the final word on the belt?

Most important question: How come there is only one picture of my kat???

By the way,

Scott's car looks very cool with the rear pan and custom exhaust tips! That has to be the nicest silver kat I've ever seen!

What do you use to keep it shiny? Most silver prowlers I see look like the paint is flat and tired.

Hey Orange, It was nice meeting you as well. Actually, I was amazed at how much the new pictures look like your banner photo, just heading the opposite way! Did you park in the same place where that picture was taken? I really like your wheels . . .and it sure did'nt look dirty to me.

Thanks for the nice remarks about my car, but most of the "big" stuff, like the pan and exhaust tips were done by the previous owner. As far as shine, I'm a big fan of Zaino, but I've pretty much always had black cars (for some reason, I think Zaino really makes a black car pop). Not feeling like hand rubbing the entire car six or seven times to lay out the Zaino, I switched to Meguiar's NXT. I knew I'd be going to the factory seminar, so why not convert now? I used a Mother's clay bar and quick detailer that came as a kit (because my Auto Zone and Pep Boys, didn't have the Meguiars kit), then switched over to the NXT paste. Pretty good stuff! Can;t wait for the Meguiar's Clinic to see what I can improve on. Look forward to going on a run soon.

Orange: Too bad u came so late..haha..didn't get to chat more..next time I guess? Thanks for asking, we got back fine. Larry was right, it was just an AC belt. John will have to fix it properly this time round. Am still surprised that it could come loose right after he put it in.

As for the dirt on ur Orange...the magic of photoshop..just kiddin'....

Scott: I just stocked up on Meguair's stuff @ Kragen. They have the complete Classic and NXT stuff there.

Hey DC, I was reading somewhere that you need to let the car run for about ten? minutes to warm the belt up after you install it, then tighten it again to take the slack out. But, heck, I'm sure a Prowler tech would know to do that. Thanks for the Kragen referral. I'll check out them out.

Also, thanks for putting up with Mia and my early morning visit on Saturday. It was fun following you and Skankat down to OC. Believe it or not, I think that's the first time I've seen what a Kat looks like heading down the road . . The other few sightings I've had were quick glimpses of cars heading the other way. Skankcat's car is beautiful. The hardtop is such a classy look and the finished headliner really makes the car. I just can't decide rather to get one of those or a trailer first. I guess that's why they offer third mortgages!

Skankat - Great Pictures. Thanks for taking them. Of course, posting my picture will negatively impact the websight and the number of hits it gets. But the exposure will be good for me personally. . .maybe I'll be asked to be the posterchild for Planned Parenthood!

Orange - Yeah, why the h*ll did it take you so long to get down there? Of course, if it spared you from getting up at dark-thirty, you made a wise move. By the way, did you find a Casino on the way home? Do you still own the kat? Or does it belong to the Morongo Tribe now?

Everybody else, thank you for welcoming Mia and I into your group. We really enjoyed spending time with you and having dinner together. I learned a lot about the kat from our talks. I was also impressed with the PT Cruiser folks. What a class act. Well organized, friendly, and boy do they know how to have a good time. I can't wait until next year.

And thanks to Larry for installing my hinge covers. I'm going to put in the wonder bar this weekend. Then, next time we get together, maybe you can install a supercharger and Nitrous system for me. You really weren't doing much at the show. You would have had plenty of time! LOL

We have to put together some event of our own soon. Maybe a beach cruise and BBQ or something.
