.....I enjoyed the first one, but have seen only one or two of the others....saw Luke Skywalker on the news a few days ago and he looks like a retired wino....Carrie Fisher looks like Chewbacca, but Harrison Ford looks good for his age...guess I'll wait a few years and rent it .... :lol:

:D I have seen it twice now, once with my son and once with my wife. I thought it was excellent. It answered a lot of questions that have been raised through the series. Some of the acting was a bit wooden, but the movie overall was great! Of course, I may not be the average moviegoer since my dog is named Chewbacca, and my son and I have made a father/son habit of attending StarCon events. I once shook Anthony Daniels hand at one. Oh, well.

Yeah. He took the gold hand from his costume and wears it while answering questions from the audience. My son and I saw him prior to that setting up the table he would be giving autographs from later in the day. I walked up and shook his hand with the usual "thanks" and "I loved your character". He left shortly after that. My son said he looked terrified by me! Kind of fits the character of the robot.

I have not seen the new one yet, but I have seen all the others. I will wait a couple weeks until it is not so crowded.

Not much of a Star Wars fanatic but my son says this last one tops them all....he really liked it!
Now he wants a Darth Vader suit for Halloween!

Saw it today, wasnt as good as I expected although it did tie all the loose ends together.

I actually went to see the 1st one (now called IV) with my son in 1977 when it first hit ze BIG screen! I thought it was dumb then--and still do. Diff strokes! I know the vast majority of people think the series is the best thing since sliced bread--so--as George would say [in Seinfeld]:
"It's not you----it's me!" :vomit:

The wife took a couple of the grandkids. She said it was ok. The kids thought it was great. Go figure.

I saw the DLP Digital version..its ALOT better than the film version!

Broke down and went to see what all the hype was about. Didn't think it was anything special. Then again we are not big fans of the series.
