Dumb Comments About Your Car

Alright, it never fails. When ever you own a car that stands out or is something most non-car people don't know about you get those weird comments. Now, I haven't bought a Prowler yet, but I can only imagine what people say. I had an S2000 for about a year and half and people would ask me all kinds of stuff; "Is that a Ferrari?" "Nice corvette!" "Oh I read about those. They have that new V8." LOL With my Marauder people always want to know if I ave the "special high powered Police engine."

So how about the Prowler? What are some crazy comments you've heard?

Others are..."Is it a kit?", "How fast does it go!", "Did that car cost $80,000?"


Haven't heard any real good ones in a while but that's only cuz the weather just started warming up. I'm sure there will be more.

i had a guy ask me ,,"what kinda car is this?" i said it's a prowler. he walks away and returns a few minutes later with a stupid look on his face and says,,,,,",uhhh i own a prowler". i didn't think a hardtop and a roll pan made that much of a difference,,,,,what a dumbass.

i hear ya! i had another couple run up to the car,and the wife says" look dear ,i've never seen a viper before". i was sitting in a lawn chair on the other side of the car, so i jumped up and said, you still haven't. they kinda looked me like i was a smart ass... sometimes i'd rather be a smart ass... 8)

Yes Hali, the guy was dead serious. His introductory line as he walked up was; "Is that some sort of classic car?" which I would have to say "Yes" to.

It went downhill after that.

same here, but the best was at the chrysler dealer where I was at for an oil change the older gentleman who ran the counter came out to look at it and asked if it was a 'kit car".......at the chrysler dealer....:eek2:

Back when I first got the kat, there was an older gentleman at the dealership when I was there for service. He looked at the car and said "Why would anybody spend all that money on a car like that? It isn't practical." My response was three words: Because I can!

The most amazing comment that has been said to me was about my old 1994 Viper at a Jack in the Box drive threw... This girl at the window said how cool it's got the speakers on the outside of the car, up on the hood. Her male helper with all the tattoos and ear piercings said they have to do that as the car is so fast that it's the only way to hear the stereo at hi speeds.. Susan and I got about 3 blocks away and she turned to me and said doesn't the water when it rains ruin the speakers... I just laughed and said those aren't speakers Honey, :roll: those are grills to cook your food on... She smacked me! The Viper has caused quite a few problems since I have had it, with Susan and I....
