This will be even Bigger than Last year and will feature The Live Dance band
" Juke Box"
to play wonderful Music on a Saturday Night, under The Big White tent with a dinner starting at 6 PM

Have no idea why my picture (3 times) has been posted to this thread! Nancy knows full well that I'm committed to the Dream Cruise In Daytona the same weekend as the DQ Run. Just don't understand the caption either??? "I even came last year"? What's that all about? Who the hell am I? I assure you no one special.

We'll be here in Daytona cruising each day for 3 days, with special tours and events planned by the Event Organizers and other activities that we are planning for the Kats alone.

The past 3 years of DQ Runs were fun and I enjoyed them greatly. Almost 30 Kats each year and lots of good people. It's not because I live here in Daytona, but because I think this 1st Innagural Daytona Dream Cruise is going to be big and something that will be a don't miss event whether it is for Prowlers alone or for everyone. It is not a primarily Prowler Event, but one that in years may match the type of Dream Cruise, Woodward has each year.

Mike, Ken and all other Kat Packers, I wish your event well and hoped that you could have been here for this event. We'll have 10-15 Kats here this year and hope that next year we can double that. Maybe next year for the 2nd, OK guys!

I'm posting "random" pictures from all the past DQ events as I'm sure you are probably very aware of how many we have in our personal stash. I meant no harm in the least and will gladly delete your photo. If you are in any of the group photos, I'm sorry but those will stay. Maybe my eyes are bad but I can't locate any "3" individual photos of you at all....group shots perhaps? Regardless I haven't even noticed who all is in them. Like I said I am posting "RANDOM" photos.
I will be posting more photos when I have the chance of the many past DQ events.

Last year we had 38 cars and I think this Year we are going to break that record!

Many have made this a TWO or Three day event with Dinner on Friday and Cruises around Naples, I hope All those on the fence will want to join us.

I rarely post anything unless it is some importance. I avoid the idle chatter that is so evident on Prowl Talk and the other site. Not that anything is wrong with that, by no means, it's just that I don't see that as my purpose on here.

So, indulge me a bit if you will.

The Fl Kat Pack has 2 events planned for the same weekend. The Daytona Dream Cruise was planned and work had already started to get a hotel and arrange all the things you need when Kats come to town for a weekend.

Mike and Ken announced their intention to have the DQ Run the same weekend. A number of us asked Mike and Ken to reconsider but they said they could not fit it in any time else. Jim Warner even told them that they could have the prime time in March that The Villages show occupied, but they didn't want to wait until then.

That is all OK with me. I have no problems with it at all. It will divide up the Kat owners and make them choose between the 2 events which is something we have always tried not to do. I understand the Daytona event is not a Prowler only event, but it is an event that cannot be changed by us. The DQ Run could have, but again I hold no animosity towards their decision at all.

What I do regard as a cheap shot was the picture of me with the caption that was posted, somthing to the effect, "That even Wally came last year". Nancy knew I was not coming this year and I have attended the past 3 events in Naples and loved every minut eof them. Mike and Ken are gracious hosts and they spent a lot of money having us there. I wish them well and hope their event turns out to be the best ever. And yes, I will miss it, not so much for the surrondings, but the Prowler folks I will not get to see this year!

I still cannot understand the pic and caption. What was she thinking when she uploaded it?? The pic has since been removed but the effect remains. The past 4 years, I have done nothing more than set up 3 Daytona Turkey Rod Runs and all the associated activites that go along with it, starting a web site for the group, helping Warner and Caroon with whatever they needed for the Villages Event/Don Garlits Event, having decals made up, creating a logo for embroidered shirts/hats and other behind the scenes stuff trying to keep the group going after Jay and Nancy left for Georgia.

With a full time job and not the best health the past 4 years it was monumental at times as I am sure those that have been lucky enough to experience the same will surely know. I can easily sit back and let others do the work I had to do the past 4 years. After Jay and Nancy left for GA, no one came to the front and still no one will after Jim, Jim and I retire form active participation. It will be seen who steps up to the plate, if anyone.

As another poster put it.... a trivial matter. Yes it is, but it did hit home and left a mark square in the middle of my forehead.

So until my head heals......

2008 Prowlin' DQ Coloring Book CONTEST…

To the Kat Packers participating in the 7th Prowlin' DQ, here is an opportunity to win the "Original" (one & only) 16" x 20" Commemorative Event Poster. This poster is a one of a kind. This poster is a Kat Pack Original, a full color collage of all the graphics and art work being used in promoting the 2008 Prowlin' DQ Event… a true Prowlin' Collectable!!!

To enter, simply print out this attachment on plain, letter size paper… color in all the images with your choice of crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. making sure the vehicle is the same color of your Prowler. You will turn in your completed, fully colored entry when picking up your name tag(s) upon arrival.

Please note that you may enter either one or two completed coloring books… if you are Prowlin' alone, then one entry… if you have a Prowlin' companion then you may enter two.

These entries will be judged by our Hostesses and Hosts to their personal likings… there will be ONLY one winner and you must be present to win. It won't be long now... this coming weekend, Saturday, 25 October 2008 is the 7th Prowlin' DQ in Naples, Florida. I can't wait and just wait and see what our Hosts Karen & Mike, Carol & Ken and Char & Wolfy have for us... WOW, WOW, WOW... you won't believe it... AMAZING!!!


Make sure you bring your Prowler, your appetite, your dancing shoes (socks) & camera for those memories to be created with more than 60 attendees.
