Next Cat Parade will be in 2009

Join feline lovers at the famous festival in the historic city of Ieper.
A jester tosses toy cats down from the belfry of Ieper on the second Sunday in May and in a parade scores of floats and 2,000 ‘actors’ enact the role of the cat in history, literature, and folklore.
The cat parade sets off at 3 PM and at 6 PM join the crowd in front of the belfry to catch one of the toy cats. The day ends with a fireworks display. It is a colorful event not to be missed. Please note that the next Cat Parade will take place in 2009.
