NHRA statement of the death of Scott Kalitta (http://www.nhra.com/content/news/30034.htm) http://www.nhra.com/2008/images/thumbs/candle.jpg
On behalf of everyone at NHRA, we are deeply saddened and want to pass along our sincere condolences to the entire Kalitta family. Scott was a terrific driver and perhaps more importantly a better person and a great father to his two kids. He will be truly missed by the entire NHRA community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Kathy, sons Corey and Colin, his cousin Doug, and his father Connie.
Kathy and I were watching and recording when this happened went back and watched frame by frame is and was the worst I have ever seen in all my years of racing in live speed you cant get it but in frame it was god awful, was not a big fan of Scott but is very sad none the less. Our prayers are with his family.
