heading to TN

Hey all, FYI, I'll be going down to TN for about 10 days. Leaving here 6/21 and leaving there around 6/30. Parents bought a place down there and I'm going down to help move them in.

Little over a year to go before I/we plan on heading down to live. Hope to get some site seeing in while down there.

I will not have a computer with me during this trip.

Lenoir City, just SW of Knoxville. I haven't been there but I hear it's a very nice town. Driving down with my parents in their car, sharing driving duty.

Not sure how far that is from you.

I'm sure I will be down again later in the summer (early August?).

Haven't left yet! We emptied, packed and shipped everything from my parents home to TN. Closing was to happen by the 20th (second extension of the closing date by the seller (Countrywide mortgage :vomit:). New closing extension till 25th. They (Countrywide) set the dates and then don't meet them! My parents have been waiting to close on the house since the first of June. Now they are stuck here in NH using a folding picnic table and chairs for eating and 2 folding lawn chairs in the livingroom to watch the TV. They were planning on registering the vehicles and drivers licenses in TN by the end of June so not to have to do it here and then do it there (here is expensive). Their loan interest rate that they locked in (with their mortgage co.) expires and costs money to lock in again. The PODS that are now in TN with my parents belongings will soon have to be unloaded (by the 30th) or storage fees kick in.........:mad:

If we get the right answers on Monday morning, we will be on the road in the afternoon :confused:.

We as taxpayers are bailing out this crappy company (Countrywide) over the mortgage crisis and they can't get their act together to sell a home :mad:.

I'm sorry to hear of this. How are your parents holding up? I hear of "moving headaches" all the time. Hope you are leaving tomorrow. Hopefully next year at this time all of you can have a giggle with this.

Well I'm still here in NH. Parents are hanging in there but not very happy to say the least.

God works in mysterious ways, one of my best buds past away yesterday. I'll be here for his funeral and help with what ever his wife and family may need from me. I would have been crushed even more if I had been in TN.

He was fighting ALS (Lou Guerigs (sp)). The end came fast, he was diagnosed just last year (Jan.), he worked up until last June and then couldn't do his job any longer. last fall (Oct) he was moving around very well but with a cane. By Jan. he was barely able to stand. By the end of Feb. he was bed ridden. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

I'm here and not in TN for a reason, Thank you Lord.

We'll see what happens. Leaving for TN this afternoon (after the funeral). Closing is Monday (I'll believe it when I see it). PODS are being delivered Monday afternoon :roll:.
