...information

...assuming most/all of you will come to New Castle via I-70, you will take exit #123

...exit I-70 and head north on St Rd 3...your hotel will only be a couple of miles north of the interstate on the east (right) side of the road

...pretty much anything you need will be on St Rd 3...you can't get lost:rll:

near the hotel is...

...Steak and Shake
...White Castle
...Super W-Mart
...do it yourself car wash

a couple of miles further north on St Rd 3 is ...

...McDonalds
...Wendys
...Arbys
...AppleBees
...another do it yourself car wash
...gas stations are plentiful anywhere on St Rd 3
...there are a couple of liquor stores on St Rd 3, and alcohol is also available at CVS drugstore and W-Mart...again, all on St Rd 3...

Friday...

meet at hotel, parking lot party....OR, there is a new sportsbar just south of I-70 called Macaboos.....it is a really nice place, but it does have a gravel parking lot and is EXTREMELY busy (it's new)...or, there is Applebees(not so busy since Macaboos)

Saturday...

directions to "HIGHWAY 38 Diner".......Saturday 9am breakfast call

...stay north on St Rd 3 to St Rd 38....turn west, (left) at the Dodge/Jeep dealership (next to Applebees)

...about a mile, you will see the diner on the north (right) side of the road

...address...350 W. St. Rd 38
...diner phone...765-521-2881
...my cell is 765-624-9915
...home phone 765-529-6574

after breakfast Saturday we will drive the scenic route about 50 miles to a neat little town called Fairmount, the home of James Dean "Rebel Without A Cause"...a museum, gift shop, 50's diner, burial site and childhood home all within walking distance of each other....a few neat photo opportunitys...spend a couple of hours playing around there and head back to the "Home" for sandwiches, snacks, drinks, music, visiting and picking out your own trophys in the back yard....the Lucid Eye is exhausted and may have to be hospitalized before the event

Sunday...

9-10am pan fried chicken b-fast(or anything you want) at the Diner and good-bye kisses whenever

...I was shooting for relaxing, small town fun since many of you have traveled a long distance to get here and have a long trip home....

...please, everyone drive safely, Indiana is really handing out tickets this summer like never before...see ya Friday

...any questions or concerns, please call.................TUIVC

Oh well, If it rains it rains. At least we wont be in a canvas tent with our 4 kids and their friends.

That was always a treat. :rll::rll::rll:

ok..this has gotta help break the Sno-Rain curse..

SkanKat told me of this ritual they used for when managing her outdoor events:

it truly works...we had an outdoor wedding reception and the sky was ready to pour but never did...
