Since our frame is aluminum and much of it is viewable, have you ever heard of anyone having theirs polished? and what would it look like and maintenance?
Maintenance would be hell. Aluminum will always oxidize. You willl never be able to wipe it and end up with a clean cloth. EVER.

Did Jay do any sanding on these parts or only aluminum polish?
Jay did sanding with 600 wet followed by 1000, then 1500, then polishing rouge with some rotary power. Finally finished with the traditional liquid polish.

The frame was a work in progress between 2000 & 2001 on the Yeller Cat on all visible parts including front & rear suspension components, & also the trailer hitch. The photograph was taken in '08 and shows the looks do not deteriorate. Maintenance is wipe on polish & wipe off. No power buffing required.
