Drams from the rising sun have won the two main categories at the 2008 World Whisky Awards.

The consistent success of Japanese whisky in the top international awards has been going on for seven years now. They first won a "Best of the Best" prize back in 2001.

I have always been a bit shy of comparisons with the 1976 "Judgement of Paris (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgment_of_Paris_%28wine%29)" in which New World wines proved they were at least the equal of Europe`s best. That was a real revolution and the wine world has never been the same since. However, in a year in which Japan has won the two most important prizes at one of the key international awards, it does seem whisky has been changed quite fundamentally by the advent of Japanese malts.

Tom, I have a friend that just called and is flying in to spend the weekend with me,(so she thought) She will be here around (around@:00) 2:00 pm. I told her that I would be gone all weekend to a Friends for car stuff. She did not know what to say as she flew in from Mex. to surprise me. WILL SURPRISE. I told her about what we were doing with the car's but she don't know what a prowler is. So after talking to her for about 15 min. on the Talley and her telling me what she wanted to do to me this weekend I felt there was NO other option then to bring her along. I will take great care put a gage in my new traveling bag because her can be a screamer and I know your daughter still works for the stripper so we would be done by 4:00 AM so she mite sleep. (however I'm not sure about the morning thing)

We will have great respect for your property and not wreck anything,(and if we do I will pay for it) She is will trained in many fields but not the one I'm looking for.

If you have a problem with this I will understand fully please contact me ASAP. AS I'm trying to get power to the inner city of Moddersville and get my car back from the body shop.( looks like a full day)

(This info is based on the 'timechange' area being somewhere south of Merrillville, which it appears to be but not sure...so what I'm saying is that the 'stop' at the Hwy 231 exit there is WISCONSIN time... adjust if necessary... !!! )

Departure from HWY 50, Kenosha will be at 11:15AM after meeting there at the service station at the southwest corner...
through downtown Chicago area around 12:30...hopefully traffic not too bad...
just south of Merrillville, HWY 231, exit Mobil station arrival at 1:25, depart 1:50PM... again this is 'central time'...

this should put us to the Holiday Inn at NewCastle about 5:45 INDIANA time...

If you are coming thru Chicago via 90 (Edens), there is some major construction there. Tom had talked about using 355 to 80, it may be longer (milage wise) but it might be quicker. 355 is a toll road.
