http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/icons/icon1.gif posted 06-07-2007 03:35 PM I have been receiving pms and emails from attendees for the Anniversary/Dream Cruise event in August. There is concern that if someone is deliberately cancelling rooms to cause some chaos, that they will try the same thing for August. I had been told about the very early incidences of this with regard to Tulsa and the Drag event earlier.
At that time, I had the two host hotels I am using put procedures in place to avoid any problems when we first started booking the hotels. NO cancellations will be made by any hotel staff except the Manager at each hotel. If they receive a cancellation, they will be checking with me first to confirm. If you legitimately have to cancel coming in August, please let me know before you call the hotel.
At the risk of getting bashed even more than I already do on the other site, I do want to say a couple of things. When the other site began, I did go look at the site. After what I saw and read in the early posting, I made the decision not to return and haven't. I have heard from other people that Bob and I are being accused of having alias's to frequent the site. That is totally untrue. I have no desire to use any of my time listening to what garbage they are saying about us and other people. We have been accused of acting like we are better than everyone else. We are NOT and never pretend to be. We have done nothing by try to make the Prowler ownership and experience in this club more exciting. I've been called many names over there and honestly, I don't care. It is a waste of my time even thinking about it. There have already been a few instances at other events aimed toward me. I say grow up and act like real adults. Hating is such a waste of time and energy. Find something postitive to do like the majority of the owners on this site.
I have been accused by another owner there who believes I will do everything in my power to keep them from attending my event. Also NOT true. If I was going to do that, I would have done that immediately and never put their names on the list. In spite of what they continue to say, I am not like that. This event is for everyone to enjoy.
I've also heard from others that they plan to cause some kind of disruption at the event in August. To them I say... if you hate me, Bob and POA so much then it is best you stay away. I will NOT tolerate that kind of behavior I will take whatever action is necessary to see that no one at my event causes any trouble or unpleasantness for any of the owners who are attending. DC has also been made aware of the situation.
Chrysler has finally stepped up and is doing an awesome party for the Prowler owners which is unbelievable. Are the majority of the owners attending this event going to let a possible few spoil everything for them.......as this is what the goal is.
Yes, I am outspoken and yes I stand up for what I believe is right and yes I pick my battles. It's time for people to stop spreading untrue rumors about several people on this board. Especially Mike and Judy Krehel. Everyone is afraid to speak up and support others who are being bashed by a few.
NO......Mike and Judy do NOT make money from this site's donations. If anything they lose money in their time and efforts that have been put into running and maintaining this site.
NO......Mike and Judy did NOT use the event fee at the Texas event to put on the barbeque they graciously hosted at their home. I hope that the event planners, Tami Fisher and Fred Henkel will verify that.
NO.....Phil Horvath and I do NOT make money from running the Prowler Store. Again, we lose money. It is a volunteer effort and takes a lot of our time. Call me the Prowler Store police if you want, but DC made the rules and they put us in the position of having to make sure those rules are followed. If we don't they can take our license back and ALL the Prowler owners lose.
So there........I've said it. There's a lot more I could say, but I have a very busy life and I have things to do. I am sorry that I have to bring this up now, but I think it is about time it was said.
Time for everyone to grow up and act like adults. Instead of listening to what a few disgruntled people say in hate, look for the facts yourself and make your own judgment. It's a real shame that all of this is going on.
One more thing......keep in mind that if it weren't for Tony Goertz, Mike and Judy and perhaps a few other people, this site would not ever have existed. We would not have this Prowler community/family. If it weren't for all the good owners on this site......this community/family would not continue to exist and think of all the friends and fun you wouldn't have. I look forward to seeing all my old friends and make new friends at the Tulsa event and at the Prowler 10th Anniversary / Dream Cruise event.
