Mustangs Across America Scheduled For 2009

http://z.about.com/d/mustangs/1/0/f/C/-/-/greystone-mustangs.jpgThe Mustang Club of America (http://www.mustang.org/) will celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang in 2009 by organizing its largest Mustang show ever. The event will kick off with the Mustangs Across America 45th Anniversary Drive (http://mustangsacrossamerica.com/). The road trip, which begins in Las Vegas, Nev. on April 10, 2009, will take Mustangs on a five day journey across America along Route 66 in the West. The Midwest will include a stop in Mustang, Okla. and Dallas, Texas before traveling to the South in Louisiana and Alabama. Drive participants will take part in planned gatherings, cruise-ins, and other adventures as part of the road trip itinerary. The event will conclude at the Barber Motorsports Park from April 16-19th, where a three-day Mustang show will host as many as 6,000 Mustangs for show and open track events.
The event opens for registration (http://mustangsacrossamerica.com/) on April 17th, 2008. The cost to register will be $45 which will include a complete package of Mustangs Across America 45th Anniversary Drive items and regalia in addition to exclusive hotel discounts and access to special events across the country. A commemorative printed travel guide detailing mile-by-mile maps, itineraries, and points of interest. A host of other goodies are included as well.

Sunday, 4/12/2009: Holbrook, AZ to Santa Rosa, NM
Monday, 4/13/2009: Santa Rosa, NM to Mustang, OK
Tuesday, 4/14/2009: Mustang, OK to Shreveport/Bossier City, LA
Wednesday, 4/15/2009: Shreveport/Bossier City, LA to Birmingham, AL
Thursday - Sunday 4/16 - 4/19, 2009: MCA 45th Mustang Anniversary Celebration
Sunday, 4/19/2009: Mustangs Across America Dinner Banquet

Have you heard anything about when the 2009 stangs are due out.

Had a dealer trying to tell me that they would be out in may or june.
Seems awful early, but I can't find anything on any of the websites.

Motor Trend has also reported that there will be a Mustang GT500 for the 2010 model year, however, the car's powertrain is still up in the air. The current GT500 uses a supercharged 5.4L V8, but Ford engineers are considering using a supercharged version of the new 5.0L. Whatever the case, look for the new next-generation GT500 to produce more than 500 horsepower.

I'm assuming this is correct.

Here's the schedule information available to date for the 2009 Mustang.

03/19/2008 2009 MY Unscheduled Order Bank Opens
04/17/2008 2009 MY Scheduling Begins
05/27/2008 2009 Job #1 - Production Begins

The 2009 Mustang Order Guide will be released on or about 03/19/2008.
