Verizon FiOS

Is anyone here using it and if so how's your internet speed and HD TV picture. I'm thinking about switching from (COMCAST internet & Direct TV), but I have hesitated because Verizon doesn't appear to have the NHL package.

I have the internet service and it is really good, I had cable internet before which was fast but FIOS is worth it. I kept direct TV because of the sports packages and since Verizon and DTV are related you will get a discount on it also but not as much as their TV. Hope it helps. Don't know if you will get it on the other side of the worls though.

I have had Internet for a few years and TV for almost that much time

the internet is the best I have ever seen - Fast and NEVER goes down
I get 20mb/20mb - insane speed for like $60 a month

The TV is good but not great - the picture on HD channels is good - HD is free
BUt the channel selection is behind some of the other choices - The good news is that they are making regular improvements and if you get what they call the triple play - phone - internet and tv you get decent discounts.

keep in mind that if you switch you will lose the copper always on phone you are used to ...
