so just how far is Atlanta from fort myers. i think its about 500miles.. i will be in florida that weekend and might be able to make this trip.. who else is going???

YES, there is a pre-registration form and fee required to participate in the 6th Annual MOPAR Southern Classic in Atlanta, 2 ~ 3 May 2008.

For additional general information regarding this event you may contact the Event Organizer, Chris Street via phone @ 770 401 6542 or via eMail 2008MoparShow@mindspring.com anytime.

To pre-register, PLEASE log on www.northgeorgiamoparclub.com (http://www.northgeorgiamoparclub.com) scrolling down to the middle of the page then click on "Download a printable Registration Form" to print the form. Complete the information, attach your $25 check for the Registration Fee and mail back to the address on the form ASAP.

We will be there. May cruise up with a Kat Van from Florida Kat Pack. Hope to go up Thursday, dinner and cruise on Friday, maybe drag races Fri. evening at the track. It will be fantastic to see 30 or 40 Prowlers on the track together. Early registration saves $5.00 for another gallon of gas. LOL

Looking for 10 out of Florida. The Dixie Kat Pack should get a very good draw from Georgia, hopefully 2 or 3 from NC and ALABAMA. We had a real blast last year. Beautiful Mopars and 17 or 18 Prowlers. The track time is worth the trip, but throw in some raelly nice Prowler owners a couple dinners and WALLA, one hell of a weekend!!!!!!!! Oh, and JAY expects you there for the FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!!!:biggrin::tu::bows

Saw your question about who all is attending.....I have no clue how many have registered or are planning on attending the event. There are some FL cats along with some of the Atlanta area & also AL represented but that's all I know thus far. I hope you can attend this one.

current plan is to leave ft myers thursday eve. and drive up to the florida/georgia border. then drive into atlanta on friday morning arriving somewhere around noon. stay in atlanta friday night and maybe saturday night, then back to ft myers on sunday as i am leaving ft myers to fly home on monday. long drive (500+- each way) miles, but were looking forward to it. first round is on me! :mrgreen: any other takers????

I'm confused, in the Dixie Kat Pack section it says April 27th but the North Georgia Mopar Flyer states May 02nd/3rd ?!

The link you are referring to with the APRIL dates was for 2007 so totally disregard that entire thread and refer to the "Prowlin Hotlanta" thread which is for current year "2008".

Please note that this year (2008) ;-) it is a 2-day Friday & Saturday event so we plan to be at the Speedway both days and hope you can make it this year.

Several of us stayed at a Sleep Inn or Comfort Inn just south of McDonough, Ga.. If I had to guess i would say it was exit 216 or 218. Will check it further. Plan on staying at Comfort Inn in Macon, Ga. off Zebulon Rd., Thursday night and catch up with Jay & Nanc on 75 someplace to cruise into the track.

Piddler as far as I know a few others we've heard from also have not received theirs (nor have we) so just be on the lookout and hopefully they will all arrive before too long.

I sent email yesterday to ask about the paper work for the show,
Here is there mail back to me.

Hi Eddie;
We got your check, and it has been deposited, you are number 37 on our list of preregisters. We do not send anything in return to you, or anyone else that preregisters, due to the enormous amount of work that would create but thank you for checking to make sure we did get it!
When you arrive at the show, drive past the registration area, around the corner past the vendor entrance to the pre-registration area, and pick up your goody bag with your T-shirt (and other goodies in the bag), make sure you sign up for the speedway cruise at this time and get your pass. Then go straight to the show area and park!, it is that simple. We will have lots of staff and plenty of signs to direct you as to where to proceed to.
If you have any other questions please don' t hesitate to call or email!
