I know your into the Fords so maybe you can update this info i found on the Lightning....Ford has published 360hp supercharged with 440lb/ft torque, top speed is 140mph.

the SRT 10 Ram is running 500 hp with 525 lb/ft torque, top speed is 150 mph.

i'm trying to figure out this ass whooping thing.... :wink:

has there been any head to head races against the two ?

i was in a Viper truck for a hot lap, and it scared the bejesus out of me... :burnout

you got to look at hp at rear wheel and not at fly wheel...Most Lightnings with just a few bolt on mods is well over 450 hp at rw .....the ram has standard tranny where as the Lightning is auto...at the track a very light modded L with slicks or street tires is right around 11 to 12.5 sec. in 1/4 miles where as ram is about 14 sec. have seen in person many times....

now on the wide open road ram may have better top speed but how often you and I can get over 120 mph in the street...

my son , who is more up on the performance aspects of vehicles tells me they are pretty close as they come off the assembly line.....
I would think the Ram would do better that 14 sec, but weight must be a factor...
would love to see head to head racing of the stock products...

oh yea... my DC dealer said he was in Vegas recently where the manufacturers all brought their goodies to a test track and the srt6 Crossfire cleaned up on the new Vette... he said the Vette couldn't stay in control....

the 500 hp in the RAM IS only about 420hp at rear wheel and the motor is not super-charged also the weight is a big factor as well... you also must have a good driver to keep up with the shift,where in the L any moNkey can get in and just floor it...one last thing is that Ram has less traction and you can't get slicks in 20' size wheel and tire... don't get me wrong I love the RAM but it not as good preformer as the Ford.... I would own one if i had the extra $$$$$.. you get them cheap......
