Sylvania Silverstar bulbs ?

......... a (Mustang) friend told me about the new Sylvania Silverstar bulbs and WHAT a difference they make - did anyone try those yet in the Kat ?

Are they available for the Kat ? If so, anyone knows the # ??

They're SUPPOSED to be MUCH BRIGHTER than the 'common' ones ;-)

yep... they are the ones you see in your mirror at night that make you think you have taken a wrong turn and are on the runway at the airport in front of a landing plane..:eek:

I'd recommend them for the prowler. The stock ones seem very crappy.

I Had Some Very Powerful Bulbs And They Burned The Sockets And Melted The Wires And Had To Be Replaced, Installed By Fixxum Who Owned My Kat Before I Bought It, So I'm Kind Of Not Wanting To Put New Bulbs In.

Sounds like Halogen, though. Xenon shouldnt run (as) hot.

I Have Them In Mine , For 6 Months , I Really Like How Much Better They Look. It Takes Out That Orange Look In The Front Blinker Area.

Yup I got a set of 4 in mine.So much brighter and they look very white.:tu:
Makes the car look a little newer.Good value.

I Got The # Off Of Sylvanias Website, And Bought Them At Autozone, Seems They Were Less Than $12

mine are Yellow and they have been tinted by 3M

I have a set on the way, got them on ebay.
Going to put them in my S10.
Should be here Friday or Monday.
They are Sylvania Ultra, 9005 and 9006 for the S10.
I think Advance Auto gets $49 a set for them.
Got both sets on the bay for $60.
This is there "bright white" bulb.
I think they say it is 30% brighter.
If I like them, I will put a set in my Prowlers.

The new Ultra bulbs came today.
They are bright white.
Had to reaim the headlights in the S10.
I had to aim them up, they have enough power now that they light up more of the road.
The bright lights look like a airplane going down the road.
They get a thumbs up!
