Just wondering if we have any Cigar Aficionado's here. I decided to go ahead and commit more to the hobby, and recently purchased a decent sized humidor. Hopefully it will be stocked up pretty soon. Any other folks here that enjoy a fine cigar? Any Recommendations, or advice?

Yep I think I finally got it seasoned. It wasn't working too well with the basic humidifiers, so I added a cigar oasis XL electronic humidifier today. I not sure if I've achieved the magic 70% RH number yet, but I'm close. Problem is that I'm using 3 hygrometers to be safe. One reads 75% one reads 55% and one reads 62%, and two of them are electronic.
Glad to hear that you are a fan of the Acid cigars as well. I haven't tried them yet, but I have only heard good things. I did manage to run across some of those Louis XIII dipped Gurkas like I gave you in Detroit or Tulsa (can't remember which)at the cigar shop earlier this evening that was a total surprise. Those are still my personal favorite by far!

Well what do you consider too much? I try and smoke at least one a day. Great way to relax in the evening with a nice drink. I will check out the link you posted and give those sticks a try.
Here is what I'm working on filling up.

....about 10 years ago, during the cigar craze, many of our tobacco stores had walk in humidors and hundreds of different cigars in stock.....today, the cigar sales have returned to previous levels and cigarettes again make up about 90-92% of our store sales with cheap cigarettes running 40% of that....
....I've been in the cigarette/tobacco/business for over 40 years and have never tasted a cigarette or any tobacco product for that matter...good thing I don't run a whorehouse

....as prices of tobacco products increase, many consumers look for cheaper alternatives to fulfill their needs...even though overall tobacco sales are down, our stores, "Discount Tobacco", are having all time record sales because there are less places selling cigarettes and other tobacco related products...07 was a banner year for our tobacco stores

I use them to relax all day.. Working from my house, I usually go outside about 4-5 times a day and light up.. Makes it easy to do my email via blackberry, and gets me away from the desk..
VERY NICE Ron ! :tu:
I love my 'Backwoods Sweet n' mild' every once in a while - not fancy but gooood tastin' !

Partagas cigars are great if you like a darker wrapper. the Opus X is a little hard to find, but good once in awhile. If you want to try something really different, look for a small cigar maker named Lars Tetens. he has a supply of pre embargo cuban tobacco. My favorites from him are the fat shorty and the arahadashi. They smell different from anything you have tried. The acid brand is close but is too sweet smelling. Monte Cristos are always good if you can get them and theyre not counterfit.

Thats true....:rll:
But with cigars you can smell them before you see them....
I always mistake the smell for a pulp and paper plant...or yell at the dog for farting...:nono:
