I'm looking to improve the headlights on my Prowler with upgraded bulbs. The 2 choices I've narrowed it down to are:

Toshiba HIR bulbs (Halogen Infrared Reflecting)
HID conversion kit

Has anyone had experience with either of these?
Looking for advice on which way to go. Comments please anyone...

Thanks!

u're welcome John. HIR are cheap alternatives to getting brighter light...that said, getting rid of the bumpers help ALOT too.

I would go the HID way but Scott Drolet told me there's some issues with certain kits out there which made me go the way of the HIR.

I gotta admit that I'm surprised by how wimpy the factory lighting is on the Prowler. I saw one at night the other day and after it got behind me, it looked dimmer than the rest of the cars with halogen. I recently upgraded to a 55W HID kit (H7) and it's a pleasure to drive with at night. I'd love to do something similar to the Prowler (when I get one).

Thanks for the great information DC...:tu:

I wouldn't mind a set of retina wreckers on my Kat... lots of deer to blind out my way, not to mention all the other drivers on the road..
