Anyone have experience on having their emissions test fail after reconnecting the battery? I took mine in today, thinking it would fail (battery was disconnected while I did the A-Frames - about 5 days).

What is the normal amount of miles to get things back to the correct codes for emissions?

On a side note.. Car driving straight as an arrow. I am still waiting on the bottom bolts for the ball joints, and have not taken it in for alignment yet..

Thanks in advance..

Happened to me on the Miata. Put in a new battery 2 days before a SMOG check. Was told by SMOG guy to drive around for the weekend...50~80 miles. Worked like a charm.

Not sure about the miles required for the Prowler

dc is correct, the rediness monitors need to be reset, the only way to do this is with a factory scanner or an obd2 drive cycle, due to traffic/speed linitations it's all but impossible to do in one trip, ( a trip being starting a cold engine and going from there) generally rediness moniters will reset with a couple of days of normal driving, (need freeway time, accell and steady cruise for evap, egr, and o2 moniters)

That's just dumb! There is no reason not to have it reset quicker.... same thing with leaving the gas cap open when refueling.... either have to take it in or wait a few days for it to reset....... DUMB

Ha.. Your day will come Dusti. My car had an entire 900 miles since the last test. You would think they would just slap the sticker on it!

I'm pretty sure the smog in LA is due to the amount of skunky farts that Alabama skunk emits :statiictongue:
