Replacement Convertible Top Latch Parts

Convertible Top Latch- If you break the "J HOOK" that is the terminal part of the top latch Chyrsler WILL NOT replace only that part. If your car is out of warranty, they charge approximately $275 PER SIDE complete latch assembly to replace the part with one that is just as likely to fail as the original.

For $65.00 you can purchase a PAIR of micro-welded stainless steel JHOOKS by Art Stoner. They will not break and they are beautifully finished. We also stock the plastic secondary latch for $26.00/pair. ($85.00 together with shipping included)

I bought a set of Art's latches and put them in my armrest for storage. Several months later, while at a gathering at Carlisle, PA I broke one on the passenger side. No problem.

Art's latches install quickly and are better quality than the OEM latches.

I posted an announcement about parts I make or stock. I did not post again because I had nothing new to offer. I wanted members of this site to know they had a cost effective choice when it came to addressing a common problem with Prowlers (convertible top latch part failures). I also designed a license plate bracket that I thought fit the style and spirit of the car and I wanted to make members aware of that option. I have had some serious health problems and I needed to focus on only the most critical aspects of our business ( and some of that was not addressed as well as I wanted). We met every deadline for our A+ Compass product line and we paid all our bills. I let the hobby projects go. Those of you who know of my products and my record for customer service know I have NEVER failed to deliver a product to a customer and with very few exceptions we have shipped on the day an item was ordered. I am currently sold out of JHOOKS but we will make more this week, I sold all I had at Woodward. The last two weeks since returning from Detroit I have worked exclusively on our A+ Compass line which serves schools. I have never required a deposit and, in fact, I have refused to take them. Our business operates on our money, we do not finance our business with cash advances from customers.
