MOPAR.....there is NO substitute

...as a kid, I raced against MOPARS and lost

...nothing like the howl of a SIX PACK at high RPM, the ferocity of a well tuned street HEMI, looking out over the hood scoop of a 69 1/2 Lift Off Hood Super Bee as you bang the gears, looking in the rear view mirror and seeing the wing uprights on your Dodge Daytona with a Camaro between them and fading fast....and Vipers are a whole other story by themselves, looks, speed, power, they got it all.................MOPAR = Pistol Grip, Panther Pink, MAX Wedge, HEMI, SIX PACK, Plum Crazy, T/A, AAR, Superbird, "Lift Off Hoods", Scat Pack, "Rapid Transit System", Daytona,

... banned from NASCAR because they were too fast..............

....back in the day, they had it covered......today, MOPAR still leads the pack

The thing I remember the most is the particular sound made by that Mopar starter followed by the deep rumble of any Hemi at idle.

Ah, yes, the unmistakeable starter sound of a Mopar and then the "light up" phase. Ground pounding, heart throbbing, 140 decibel exhaust tone. I'm going to Garlit's Drag Racing Museum for a FIX!!!!

I am a partial party in this poll. I worked for 13 years at Chrysler developing the bodies for all of these glorious muscle cars. I also worked on the development of the Chrysler Turbine engine for a while building patterns for castings.
I owned a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere Convertible as my first new car. I know it ages me. I cold burn up tires faster in that car than any other I had before or since.
I will say that nobody is giving AMC a fair shake. My buddy had an AMX and that was a real rocket. Another friend had a Studebaker Lark. I can't remember the engine but we used to beat people off the line all the time with that.I had freinds that drove Chevys and Fords but the ones that seemed to be most popular around my freinds were Mopars.

I am biased so I can't count!
