I'm up for going early, but will met you in denver. Hundreds of miles out of the way to join up with you before that. Hopefully I can met marty and another group to run out with.
Marty, where are you at and what are you plans?
$hit, still too far away (time wise) for us to narrow it down - 21 hours of driving
probably won't do it for us :-? but I PROMISE to keep ya posted :tu:

We checked out about 8-10 hotels in the Dener area. The Westin where the 2002 event was held wanted $179 a night and guarentee of XX number of rooms. The host hotel for the Colorado event wants $159 a night for the days prior to the event - it's the nicest hotel and you won't have to move. John Collins - onecatnodog - actually went to a half dozen propeties and looked at the parking lots, area restaurants, closeness to get to the interstate and/or to the Mountain road for cruising.
The Lakewwood Holiday Inn is in Southwest side of Denver. There are a few cheaper hotels but this is a full service hotel with a restaurant and lounge for a few dollars more than a "travel" hotel.
Wherever you decide to stay, the cruising in Colorado should be great.

Marty are you saying you can get us into the event hotel 60 more a night and we can stay put? When I called them they told me $199 a night then $99 a night for the events. Please let me know as soon as you can I already have people in my group booked at the holiday inn.....but we can change that!

Tom - Spike posted "somewhere" that the Marriott would take reservations for the days before the event for $159 a night plus fees and taxes. I belive you need to call the hotel direct (not make reservation online or through Marriott nationwide reservation system) That is a certainly an option but for us, the extra $200 plus dollars will buy a lot of beer and gasoline.
If you decide to stay at the Marriott we'll still come over to your hotel and drink your beer! :eek2:

I don't know where the "official" event thread is either. I can't loate an attenance list anywhere either.
Here is some info from Spike :
Opening day will be Thursday June 19, 2008. Registrations through the day with meet and greet early evening. We will have short runs and activities for early arrivals. As we plan the runs and activities for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday we will post them. Banquet and awards/auction will be Tuesday evening with check-out on Wednesday June 25, 2008. Hotel rates for the Prowler's event are $99/night with taxes currently only 4.5%. We have a block of 100 rooms at present with another 50 available so if you are thinking MAYBE, sign up soon so we can accommodate. With our somewhat central US location, we hope as many Prowler enthusiasts, whether you have been to every function, or this is your first, will join us for a great time in one of the most beautiful and friendly places around.
Link to the hotel is below, and the phone number is 1-888-238-1803.

Call the Marriot at 888-238-1803 book your room for June 15th to the 20th we will depart on the 21st in the am. Be sure to tell them you are coming for prowlin a mile high!
After you book you will need to call back to 303-279-9100 and ask for Marry Beth to get the group rate,so dont worry about the rate the girl gives you at the first number.
We are leaving here on the 14th of june staying in Ogallala NE that night then we will have a 200 mile day on Sunday the 15th into Denver.
This will be the big day,

what if the marriot tells snoman no large beer party in their parking lot? when i asked about the 1/2 barrell party that tom shinke was throwing she wasn't sure she wanted your type. i told her not to worry that tom was paying an extra 40 dollars to stay their and that should more than cover the cost or the extra police patrols and the large mess he leaves behind. i also told her not to be afraid if she herd a litte gun fire it would just be some of tom's motorcycle freinds i think their called some kind of angles. you may want to call and double check that booking:devil
See, THAT's EXACTLY why I hold of booking ANYTHING so you guys can figure this all out and make up your minds
