"PPC" veterans question

FYI:

The "PPC" was the OLD Prowler site/Club before the POA came into existence.
It came to an end when the owner at the time excessively edited and deleted posts
on the forum and the POA formed with Mr. Krehel apparently vowing he would NEVER go this route and repeat those practices.


So HERE's my question to all you "PPC veterans" like Ray, BlackCat, DavidN, BeWare, YellerKat, Larry Lord and others I can't think of right now:

HOW COME some of you still support the way the POA is run, even though Mr. Krehel has become FAR WORSE than the old PPC guy ever was by not only editing, deleting member's posts but banning people left and right without ANY or little explanations simply because they dare to have a mind of their own and/or question certain practices ?

HOW COME you turned on the PPC at the time but yet continue to keep quiet about the ongoings on the POA ?

ISN'T a "Prowler Owner's Association" supposed to be the "Prowler Owner's" and not just 1 person ?


If some of you don't want to respond in fear of getting banned (as well) I'll understand, but this had me curious for a while now and since THOSE kinda questions, 'questioning' the mighty Krehel are a BIG no-no on the POA :nono: , well THIS is the place to ask them !


Please feel free to correct me if some of the a/m "PPC/POA" history is inaccurate since I ONLY could read up on it ;-)

Do I like some of the things going on, and the direction the POA has apparently taken, No. Can I change it, No. Can I "switch channels", sure.

But, I have friends on both sites, and some don't come here and some CANT go there. So, I visit both. Do I have time to get caught up in all the politics, absolutely not. Barely have time to look at the 2 sites and other buisness.

Bottom line for me, this is Davids site, and David sets the tone. POA is Mikes site, and Mike sets the tone. Wether or not I like what happens on either site is out of my control, and I realize that.

I don't care that anyone at this site thinks I am wrong to go over there, and I don't care if anyone there thinks I am wrong for coming over here.

I just want to enjoy the cars and tremendous friendships I have developed since signing up (and never getting all I paid for) at the original PPC, and the POA and Prowltalk. Politics....not for me.

Long winded, maybe doesn't make a lot of sense, but started today at 3 am and to tired to care. Just my take on it.

As far as 'GOING' over there that was not my point, until recently I was 'GOING' over there as well since I STILL (and as well) got friends over there that won't come to PT, however THAT door was closed by the 'almighty' himself .

The difference is that if there were complaints from other members we had the ability to contact the individual and or remove the post like most sites. As far as what's going on with the POA as was said earilier............. I don't control it so therefore I don't spend a whole lot of time getting worked up about it. I read both sites and get something out of both.

ditto. seems to be a fair amount of anger/pain of both sides. this site seems to be growing by leaps and bounds and using that positive energy to focus on going forward seems to me the best way to take the high road. Ultimatley, sucess of this site will serve as the best outcome. Kudos to david and the others who have made this communtiy what it is today. Stick to making this the best outlet for prowler owners and guests, and the rest will take care of itself. i certainly dont want to minimize what has apparantly happened in the past, but simply think you have something good going here and would like for it to be kept positive. JMO

I just don't understand why the POA admin keeps banning people left and right for no apparent reason.

no i didnt get anything. i just tried to post a thread and got the message that i had no posting rights. then tried to reply to a previous post and was told the same thing. i sent two messsages to the admin (and one to mike) but no response yet. maybe it is just a mistake.... time will tell i guess.

in the interest of full disclosure, i received an e-mail from poa that without explanation of what happened simply told me to re-verify my information and re-submit. did so and it seems that now i am recognized again. go figure? :confused:

Buddy, you were one of the first prowler owners I met in Austin and I liked you and Felicia right away, you're my kind of guy, it was great meeting you in Austin...BUT, I did not have that feeling with the King and Queen, they seemed fake and phoney, like we should be honored to be allowed to view their estate and museum. I can't imagine inviting guest to my home and offering cokes and tea to my guests and me walking around with a glass of merlot. I know you know them better then me and I am judging from a one time meeting. I have not seen anything to change my opinion of them since.

...Jim, you must have read my mind when you typed out your answer, except I did get my stuff from the PPC (apparently one of the very few who did)...

...the PPC taught me several things about Kats and I made some friends, the POA taught me more about Kats than I needed to know and also introduced me to lots of people who shared my passion for automobiles...remember, I didn't really like or want a Kat when they were introduced, even when I bought my first one I wasn't quite sure if I would keep it or not, I was a Viper guy already...but here was a group of several hundred people that had Kats too...I went to some Prowler events and it kinda changed my entire way of life so to speak...I have been helped by numerous people on all 3 sites and have nothing but good memories of everyone...Bob Longstreth (RPL) was instrumental in my getting a new black Viper SRT10 in 2003, or I would still be waiting in line ....the Prowler clubs/people have all been a positive experience for me, and I hope to return the favor
