http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/image_uploads/toolsmask.jpg
Trim/Upholstery removal tool, wire crimps/pliers (for Rear Sound Bar ONLY), #2 offset screwdriver, #2 screwdriver & popsicle stick(s).

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ~ Prowler JBL Door Speakers...

1.The Door Speaker have direct “plug ‘n play” wiring connectors soldered in place… remove the Phillips screws in the recessed door pull, front and bottom edges of the door panel.
2.Using a “popsicle” stick or similar tool, insert this under the tapered edge (facing toward rear) of the door handle bezel… while gently lifting up on this edge, away from the door’s trim, slide the bezel toward the rear to unlock and remove… DO NOT PRY on this bezel… it slides off!!!
3.With the window lowered, unsnap the door panel from the door, lifting up on the panel to remove and then disconnect the window & mirror switch(s) connector(s) as required… set the door panel out of the way.
4.Remove the OEM Speaker screws and disconnect the wiring connector.
5.Install the JBL Speaker mounting bracket aligning with the OEM holes and using the OEM screws.
6.Connect the wiring as follows then secure the speaker to the bracket using the JBL supplied screws…
7.LEFT (Driver) Door…
a.plug the Red Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Light Green ~ Violet wire.
b.plug the Black Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Light Green ~ Dark Green wire.
8.RIGHT (Passenger) Door…
a.Plug the Red Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Light Blue ~ Violet wire.
b.Plug the Black Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Light Blue ~ Dark Green wire.
9.Check the door for any “snap in” retainers that may have stayed in the door when removing the door panel… remove these from the door using the trim / upholstery removal tool. Reinsert these retainers by “twisting” back into the appropriate door panel slots.
10. Reconnect the window and mirror connectors, then set the door panel on the top edge of the door insuring that it clips in behind the top of the window… align the “snap-in” retainers and press the door panel into place and then replace the screws and door handle bezel.
11.CRANK UP the volume… your Kat will really BLAST now!!!

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ~ Prowler JBL Front Dash Speakers...
1.The Front Speakers have direct “plug ‘n play” wiring connectors soldered in place. Remove the top of the dash panel (pulls off, no screws) and remove the OEM speakers using an off-set #2 Phillips screwdriver… unplug the OEM Speakers by depressing the plastic connector tab.
2.LEFT (Driver) Dash Speaker…
a.plug the Red Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Yellow ~ Red wire.
b.plug the Black Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Yellow ~ Black wire.
3.RIGHT (Passenger) Dash Speaker…
a.Plug the Red Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Orange ~ Red wire.
b.Plug the Black Speaker Wire into the Prowler connector with the Orange ~ Black wire.
4.Reinstall the Speakers and dash panel… crank up the volume and get excited all over again!!!

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ~ Prowler JBL Rear Sound Bar Speakers...
1.The Rear Speakers have a modified wiring harness soldered in place… just remove the rear speaker enclosure cover (11 push in trim buttons) and then remove the speakers using a #2 Phillips screwdriver or 7mm socket.
2.Cut the speaker wires off the OEM speaker near where they are soldered. NOTE… you are not cutting the Prowler’s wiring harness… just the speaker’s extension wires and this is much easier than having to remove (lift up & move around) the trunk’s carpet, then locating, releasing and reinstalling the OEM pins. We have soldered the correct color wires (Black & Green ~ Black & Red) to the modified connectors and installed crimp style connectors… just remove some of the original speaker wiring insulation, match up the wire colors, insert into the JBL wiring harness and crimp.
3.Additionally, you will notice these replacement JBL Rear speakers have a “sealer” along the bottom edge to acoustically seal the speaker to the enclosure… take extra care that this remains intact during the installation process. Included is a small amount of this “sealer” which must be used to seal the JBL speaker wires exiting the enclosure. Once the speaker wires have been crimped, position and fit the JBL speaker to the enclosure insuring that the sealer is in place, then replace the previously removed screws.
4.Reinstall the Rear Speaker enclosure cover and crank up the volume… your Kat never sounded so good!!!
