I buy d a 31 Ford in perfekt condition from argentina but there is only a 4Banger in it.
I am searching a ~ 49 Flatty Ford or Mercury Engine with Tranny.

Hi Chris,

Make sure you you get a 59AB block which was 85 hp and not a V8 60 which also a early Ford Flathead motor, but much smaller The 59 is a model # and not a year.

Also someone here needs to give some guidance on transmissions because some were bad and some were just poor. I know we always switched to Lasalle transmissions which were better but still not very good.

Since all of these parts are so old, you should make sure one of us who might live by, stop over to check them out because most of them are VERY worn out.

Just my opinion. I would want you to buy high dollar for these parts only to get them over there not be useable.

Also there are aftermaket adapters you might be able to find to help mount them in that frame. I'm sure you should be able to find those used as well.
