I say this not because of Larry's post over there but because it is the reason I own a Prowler. The friendship he has offered me since before I even bought my dream has never waivered, he has stood by me at every turn and when they were very few others that would take the risk.
I think as the conflict between the two clubs refused to die, he has spoken with the level headed reason that I admire and respect...

Two hours and still there. Larry was instrumental, as was Jay Harris, in setting the example of friendship and cooperative attitude of a true Prowler owner. Their help and guidance, I hope, has made me a BETTER owner/operator of the most unique mass (?) produced specialty car. I value the help and learning experience I have received from members of both sites and owner's that don't even post on ether site. Bury a hatchet, maybe, but it will take compromise on both sites which will be the challenge to all of us.

There are two Detomaso Pantera clubs that use to have a lot of hostility towards each other for many, many years. Now, cooler heads have prevailed and the clubs work together on events and getting parts made etc. This is to the great benefit of all Pantera owners. I belong to both Pantera clubs...just like I post on both Prowler sites. There is plenty of room for two Prowler sites and if the animosity stops, then everyone benefits.

...the last thing I wanted to do with my thread on the POA was stir up old problems and hard feelings between PT and POA members .....at Woodward/Tulsa I was pleased to see everyone getting along with each other, as well as any group of a couple hundred people can....I have been treated very well by EVERYONE on both sites thru the years and have made many good friends....I hope to meet many more Prowler owners in the next few years...

...I want to see both PTalk and the POA thrive (I like the differences)

...I want to see new AND old members of both not feeling they have to take sides....I don't and won't take sides, I'm just here for the fun....when the fun stops, I'm gone

...some, here or there, may not want to post on both sites, thats fine too, free world

...I feel the entire Prowler Nation is losing out on info (event and product), but most importantly, friendships

...the Prowler family (all owners) is a unique group of individuals, thats why we chose to own one of these cars in the frst place....many times at an event, talking to younger owners, I see/hear myself 20-30 years ago....owners my age all seem to have a similar history as myself, and the older members represent what I will probably be doing in the future....I usually see a couple hundred slightly different versions of myself at events....kinda like looking in a large trick mirror I guess...

keep in mind that the number of banned PT members is very small... the members that enjoy it here and are registered on boths sites, come to Prowltalk because they enjoy the atmosphere, appreciate the honesty and free speech... this will never change...we have as many regularly posting members as they do.

Well, I've read Larry's post on the POA and the posts here and here's my 2 cents worth. I enjoy both Sites and have great friends on both. Some wont post here, some wont/cant post there. I think its a shame about the hard feelings between the two Sites but I feel that those who are banned on the POA and post here are justified in the way they feel because they were unfairly treated. If I had been banned there, I would feel the exact same way. I dont think Amnesty is the answer because to get Amnesty, it is assumed you did something wrong. Those here have done nothing wrong, the way I see it. And I dont blame those that wouldnt go back if they had the chance. At least not without an apology. That said, I'll continue to walk the line between both Sites but want everyone on Prowl Talk to know that my heart is here.:tu:

nothing against the person(s) who suggested amnesty and no offence here but to me this is a complete joke to some people who were banned for no reason or rather for reasons they NEVER knew!

some were hardly even "active memebers" in POA, never poke their nose in anybody's business and still got the boot!

we had fellow SoCal prowler friends who asked what happened and honestly, we don't know?

...P R O W L T A L K and the POA are both made up of avid Prowler enthusiasts....many new Prowler owners are given the idea that the two factions can't get along/hate each other etc etc, which couldn't be further from the truth...one of the first questions I hear from a new enthusiast is "what happened with the clubs"....persoanlly I don't know what exactly happened, nor do I care.....but it seems like time to bury the hatchet and move on....both sides are losing out on event info, new product availability, but most importantly, friendships

...I like having 2 sites to visit, but having to duplicate posts for those who can't see them here is a waste of everyones time and a loss to us all....in general, I think it makes the entire Prowler community look like a bunch of kids that can't play together

....to all my friends at PT/POA.....thanx for all the help and friendship thru the years....hope to meet many more of you as time rolls on

I have been on dozens and dozens of car related sites and Never have seen 2 similar sites working together. (I am on 25+ sites right now) Never. So what is the point? I see this thread going no where but more ppl getting all butt hurt over this thread. Most sites have rules where ppl saying or cross posting about another site is a warning with the next time you do it you're banned for life, period.

I do understand the age of the Prowler ppl is a little higher than the normal car sites and most here never cruise/browse other sites let alone look at the agreement they agree to. And most that cruise here haven't been exposed to the real world of car sites and how they work. All that is needed is for ppl to go to any huge forum and read their rules and there will be a better understanding how the internet works when it comes to car sites.

And yes, I don't have a Prowler, I have been banned twice here but I was the 4th person to sign up to this site way back when. OMT, yes I did involved with the other site with the understanding that there would be no bashing of POA. Well that didn't last long, I left the other place long ago. Judy and Mike are my best friends from either Board and I is proud of that.

Everyone can understand that with 2 different sites with 2 different sets of rules, there will always be issues between them.

While I don't know all the reasons for all the banned individuals, certainly some were easily justified. I am all for giving people a second chance especially if they really do want to be part of this site. I have a feeling some of the banned do not wish to be part of this site.

No one likes rules, but without them there is chaos and that ends up benefitting no one. We went through this already once before with the PPC.

As RPL mentioned, a quick email with a genuine desire to be part of this (and an apology if justified) and a commitment to follow the rules may be seriously considered.

Now, cooler heads have prevailed and the clubs work together on events and getting parts made etc. This is to the great benefit of all Pantera owners. I belong to both Pantera clubs...just like I post on both Prowler sites. There is plenty of room for two Prowler sites and if the animosity stops, then everyone benefits.

I have been a part of P.O.A.for quite some time and have strongly supported it over the years(and will continue to do so)primarily because of the people and friendships I developed over the last few years.Some of the best times I've had have been with the P.O.A.members.
Saying that,after meeting some of the members that are no longer a part of the P.O.A.I realized that they are some of the most genuine and basically just plain great folk!I may not agree with everything they say as I'm sure they probably feel the same about some of my comments.
Larry,I'm glad you started this post and I wholeheartedly agree that everyone shoud be given a second chance.We all have the same passion....so let's continue it together for years to come!

...the Prowler family (all owners) is a unique group of individuals, thats why we chose to own one of these cars in the frst place....many times at an event, talking to younger owners, I see/hear myself 20-30 years ago....owners my age all seem to have a similar history as myself, and the older members represent what I will probably be doing in the future....I usually see a couple hundred slightly different versions of myself at events....kinda like looking in a large trick mirror I guess...

Many of the people I interact with on both sites I have never met, but hope to as time passes. I've received great advice on the Prowler at BOTH SITES from people willing to share their time and experience.

I don't really know why some people were banned here, and it doesn't much matter to me at this point. The Prowler community is so small and too important to have bad karma and disputes festering.

This life is too short to deal with badmouthing and causing serious hard feelings. Like Larry said, when the fun stops I'm gone.

But I'm optimistic that the two sites will find common ground (the Prowler) and interact freely.

You guys are a GREAT group of people. I truly wish there was another national event this year!!! Every event I attend there is always someone new to meet. Even in Woodward...to try and make it from your Prowler to the hotel room was next to impossible. There was ALWAYS someone I would see passing by that I just had to talk to. There is NEVER enough time at these events to spend with all my friends.

Thanks everyone for making the Prowler more than just an ordinary car.

The owners are truly what makes the Prowler so special!!!

Thank you Larry for going out on a limb with your post and I couldn't agree more, there are GREAT folks on both sites and it's the PROWLER OWNER that actually loses out on a lot of information, new items and/or new Prowler projects !

Well, I for being one of the unjustly and for no apparent reason being banned on POA am glad the POA thread was started. It really does suck that there is animosity on both sides and I try to remember the phrase on talk shows ... "the opinions expressed by our callers or show personalities are not necessarily those of the station" ... There are some obvious kiss-ass over there that live life with blinders on and my opinion ?? Good for them - to each their own. I like that on PT I can say whatever I want and someone can set me straight, agree, disagree, or ignore me. Ignoring someone - isn't that the greatest punishment of all? You don't like someone - ignore them.

As much as I try to be an open minded person, I do have a grudge against WHOEVER is responsible for banning my ass over there. Oh and I'll put DC, Skan, Hali, Jay & wife along that list as well. I'm sure there are others - no slight meant by missing your names.

As for management over there editing threads, deleting them, and for not posting monetary items ... well that I don't get - I really so no reason for it.

...I thought I asked a legitimate question about the banning of members...everyone gets along so well in person.....lotsa great people on both sites...I would just like to see information, products and friendships prosper on both sites...I don't like to see anyone banned from anything they enjoy.........we are all Prowler fanatics at heart...

...I personally don't care who does what with the money, power etc etc from either site....I try to help out some on both sites because I enjoy playing on the PT/POA forums....a great form of relaxation for me after a busy day at the quarry...

My hat is off to you Larry for trying to make a difference and have the desire to make things better for everyone...its the support that you gave us here from day one that gave this site credibility and kept people active and interested. this has allowed us to grow and be able to offer a different type of experience than what was offered elsewhere....and for an ever growing number of us there would simply be no other place to go.

This usually is a pre cursor to deletion...

as a side note: I do believe that every member on the POA could come here and enjoy our site, some would have to change their bully ways, as there would be no Mike to condon it... and no elite to support it.

Yep, I just typed out a long winded response to Larry's thread ON THE POA but decided to erase it since I felt this would've contributed to this threads closing/deletion and I REALLY want this thread to stay alive for MANY to see ! :tu:


I applaud Larry's wisdom and his courage to speak up on behalf of ALL US PROWLER OWNERS ! (no matter what side)
