IF you have attended both events, which one was your favorite ?

If you DIDN'T attend either, which Prowling event did you enjoy more ? (picture-wise)

Having had the pleasure to attend TWO Prowling events in ONE year (which was a first) I will have to say that Tulsa was my favorite, simply for the fact that I was looking forward to THAT event ever since it materialized after Louisville 2006.

Don't get me wrong, Woodward was great with the DC 10th Anniv. Party and all but Tulsa was more fun, weather was better AND we did some cruising WITHOUT stop n' go

Sooo, let's hear it ............. :?:

My vote goes to Tulsa, too.
I enjoyed Woodward and meeting new people, but somehow Tulsa was more fun.

Two different kinds of events. Tulsa had the cool wide open cruising, open road, beautiful scenery, tragic history, different venue each day and one HELL of a rain storm. Woodward had cool cruising up and down Woodward Ave. Virtually daily. One Hell of a birthday party for One Hell of a car, and thousands of cars and cars and cars, and people. Got to see family on both events, that said MoTown holds a fond place in my heart, having lived in Dearborn for 3 years and then going to Detroit Dragway through the powerful muscle car era of the 60's. Woodward takes the cake for us and I agree it was very special to attend two big events in the same year. Ahhhhh, memories. And a third over Thanksgiving at Daytona, Turkey Rod Run. :tu::tu::tu:

We did not attend either of these this year but attended two Woodward events in the past with one being the Black T event to introduce the Black Tie which was a great time that also included a tour of the Conner Avenue Plant when the Prowlers were still in production & Harold Sullivan's personal Mopar collection in Detroit. As far as all Prowler events we've ever attended with large group attendance, the Smokies is still at the top for us!
"Prowlin' the Keys" with the FL Kat Pack, "Cruisin' the Coast", and the "Turkey Run" are my personal favorite smaller venues.
Jay's would probably be the Conner Avenue Plant when the final Prowler was rolled off the line.

Dusti is using the weather to make his choice me thinks ... had it not turned cold and rained, he may have felt different.:beer:

Hey fellas,

it was a VERY NARROW margin that Tulsa edged out Woodward  and meeting the Doc AND Ray contributed to it being a VERY CLOSE race .......... otherwise it probably would've been a no-brainer, blowout for Tulsa

There ya have it Roman ... we fly in for Denver, lit from many Stellas on the plane ... hook up with Rick, Dusti, Ron, Jerry, Kitty ... etc ... little fairy's flying hither and yon ... how can Denver not ROCK?!? :tu: By the way ... we bringing nurses? :nono: Call you Friday if I get stuck at Pearson. :bows

....I honestly looked forward to Tulsa for a long time, and enjoyed every minute there...it was a special time in history that will probably never be repeated in my lifetime...I have great memories of the rusty Plymouth

.... but, Woodward boggles my automotive imagination.....I truly wish I had migrated towards Detroit after graduating from high school in 69....I have been a hard core cruiser for 40 years, but after experiencing Woodward, I feel like I was only "lurking" ....central Indiana has had some great cruise spots thru the decades, but nothing prepared me for a 16 mile strip of hot rods/musclecars....I will continue to return to Woodward for as long as I can make the trek.....

Very nice analogy Larry and interesting to see WHAT people prefer in an 'event' !

We went to both , each one was different the one in Tulsa was our very first Prowler Event . Hated the rain but the long day of the cruise was awesome. Woodward was great also but the traffic was to much for me . Loved the 10th
at Chrsysler but I personally think Tulsa was better . :tu:

ALL Prowler events are fun!! Seeing old friends and meeting new ones is a blast.8-) We have been to Woodward several times but did not make it this year. There is something special about 40,000 cars cruising together that is just mind boggling. Tulsa was fun because it was a "Prowler" event wrapped around another car event. Sharing some Jager shots in the parking lot is a definite must at any Prowler event!:tu:
