WHAT did the first Mustang look like ?

As I have learned this past weekend at the Ford Museum, THIS was the first (designed) Mustang back in 1962

Sharp looking car ... but how in hell can you derive the 1965 mustang out of that vehicle? The only thing I see that's the same is the pony badge.

If they made that prototype in 65 - that thing would have been awesome.

So making cool concept cars and then replacing them for bland (in comparison) production models has been going on for quite some time. :mad:

The more I look at that car, the more I like it. That car must have some GREAT airflow for the engine. Make the back end have a glass top and would you buy it being a car you know now ... more a prancing horse than a pony though.
