The Kats will have a secure parking area away from other cars.
From I- 75 come west from exit 101, 13 miles to Marco Island.
When you come over the Bridge onto Marco Island,
go to the 3rd Traffic light( Bald Eagle Drive) and make a right.

5th Annual Prowlin to the DQ & Carter Compound BBQ.


Ø 11.00AM---Meet at Cracker Barrel.

Ø 11:30AM---Depart Cracker Barrel for a cruise thru Naples and on to the Carter compound. :arrow:

Ø We will proceed West on Davis Blvd. Merging on to U S 41 crossing the Gordon River. U S 41 is also 5th Ave South at this point.
Ø
Ø We will continue West on 5th Ave So. through olde \Naples.

Ø At Golf Shore Blvd. We will turn left (South) and proceed to 14th Ave So. where we will make a left turn (East) and go two blocks then turn left (North) on Third St. So.

Ø We will cruise North passing the original Tommy Bahamas on our left.

Ø At the stop light we will turn left (West) and go back to Golf Shore Blvd. where we will turn right and proceed North passing many of the Naples beach mansions. :eek2:

Ø We will make a left on Crayton Road and continue North then make a right turn (East) on to Seagate Dr. crossing U S 41 Seagate Dr. becomes Pine Ridge Rd.

Ø At Goodlette Frank Rd. we will turn left and proceed North to Vanderbuilt Beach Rd. where we will turn right and proceed East to Oakes Blvd.

Ø At Oakes Blvd. We will make a left turn and proceed North about a mile to the Carter compound which will be on your left. :-D

Ø After the BBQ we will take Oakes back to Vanderbilt Beach Rd. then turn right (West) to US 41. At 41 turn left and proceed South to the DQ located at the NE corner of 41 and 4th ave. No. Approx. 12 mi to the DQ. :tu:

Rick has just purchased a Magnificent Custom One of a Kind Blue Prowler and will be bringing it to the DQ meet on the 27 th.

This is one beautiful car with lots of modifications and was used I believe at Sema to showcase some audio gear.

HUGE thanks to Mike & Karen (DQMan & the Queen)for putting together a fantastic event and to Ken & Carol Carter for hosting the BBQ at their beautiful south FL home, Bob & Charlotte Wolford for the great maps they provided for us, etc & also to Dale & Debbie Barnhart for their assistance with this huge undertaking. We can't forget the cool treats served up at the world famous DQ in Naples....yum yum :smile: You all did a great job and thankfully the weather held out the entire time. Lots of fun meeting some newbies and seeing lots of the old gang from the "FL Kat Pack" again. We even got a chance to meet one of the new PT members "Attyedhall" who drives the best color ever produced........yeller. ;-)

Wallygator has posted some photos from the great DQ event on the FL Kat Pack website. Check them out. Hopefully some others will share some of their photos soon.

Yes - was a great time had by all. Super group of prowler owners, and can you believe this - chance of rain was 60%, overcast the entire day to the point of no sunscreen required, and it NEVER RAINED A DROP. The big man loves the Florida Kat Pack.

So hard to meet everyone, but I did tell some of the people I met about ProwlTalk. Many just don't have a clue. Anyhow, it was great, and hopefully Nanc can get Jay to post some pics.

Oh - of course prowlers draw crowds, and on the final run to the DQ, there were two lines of prowlers and some truck came up behind my brother-in-law's (Vince) prowler and then he started gawking to the other side of the line of prowler's going and dind't see the stop - and he came about 2 inches from getting rear ended. These cars never stop amazing people.

You know everyone asks him that at the events too. Also the SSS - I had MANY MANY people ask me about my exhaust - doesn't sound like the normal Borla - and I just smile and say - Yep - that's Jay's exhaust. Really is incredible how many people he's helped "Mod" their Prowlers.
