my apologies if I didn't post this in the correct section but......

I took the Dodge Ram in for service yesterday and my pal Jeff (the service advisor) was telling me about a key which contains a chip that basically prevents the truck or car from being started or put into gear. Have any of you heard of such a thing and if so, what are your thoughts? He said it runs about $400.

Debbie, I would save the $400.00 and move here to Lake of the Ozarks. We still leave our keys in our car. lol

CW;
Most of the newer GM vehicles have that feature. I am sure that the car theives have already found a way around it.

:roll: Debbie - save your $400,,,,,a good thief already has that figured out. I think a fuel shut-off switch is the best preventative measure,,,,but then again, they can tow your ride away also.
