View Full Version : Thinking of selling my kat

I have a 2000 Silver kat with 5900 miles on her. Only mods are mud flaps, and a bunch of Jay's Shimmers and a trailer hitch. Usual scraps under the nose. The wheels have some inside peeling but nothing too noticeable.
I also have a matching trailer (2001) with chrome wheels which are fine. Some small stone chips on the front from pulling it without the flaps.
Car cover is included, along with sales brochures including the large unit. Other miscellaneous stuff. New battery.
With the price of trailers being what they are , I don't know to sell as a package or to sell them seperately.
My reason for selling is that I orginally wanted a yellow kat but could not find one at the time I wanted to buy.. Well I located one with a matching trailer. Guy is willing to wait until I sell mine. Can deliver within a resonable distance.
Thoughts? I am paying more for the yellow but I would really like to buy it. Has painted bumpers and a couple of other mods. Nice kat, as is mine. x

Sounds like a reasonable price to me. Good luck on your sale.

By the way, it does have the extended warranty but since I am the second owner I don't think it can be transferred again.

The kat goes in this Wednesday on trade for a 2006 ragtop vette. I am selling the trailer separately. Ironically they had no interest in the trailer. I got a decent amount for the kat but would still sell the package if interested. It does not need to be part of the trade. I'm just out of room.

Vette instead of yellow kat then?

Yes sir Dave. I just have had it with the lack of service around this area and the lack of concern by DC service departments. Also parts are becoming a bigger problem all the time. Loved my kat but it's time for a change. Wish I lived in a bigger area where service would not be a problem.
The yellow kat deal didn't work out. He decided to kep it.
Who knows I may regret selling my kat but one never knows what the future will hold.

but u're still gonna hang around this board right?
as for regrets..there's ALWAYS the possibility to buy another Prowler later...I think prices have matured around $30K++...
u'll get good $$$ for the trailer...

1. You bet I'll stay. Having tooooo much fun.
2. I have stopped saying never. I'm sure I'll miss her.
3. Prices seem to be in that $30 range.
4. Trailer will bring good $$. May need it if I buy another kat someday.
5. Nah, it's gotta go, I'm out of room.

It was a very nice low mile kat. Funny you just can't convince everyone. Some wanted to pay rock bottom without realizing what I had.
No stand as I"m lucky to have a four car garage with room for the trailer at this time. Vette won't be in for at least 4-6 weeks I'm told.
