Hello from Florida

A warm hello from N.E. Florida. My thanks to Kruisinkat for introducing me to Prowltalk. My name is Wayne Johnston, I live in East Palatka, Florida and I own a '01 Mulholland Blue Prowler. I have admired Prowlers for many years since seeing one being moved, under a tarp, into an auto transporters van in Gardena, CA. This was 1995 and I didn't know what a Prowler was. Years later as they went into production, I knew I had to have one. Today, retired in Florida, I finally own one. My car was originally purchased in Crestwood IL, and my wheels are suffering the effects of snow covered roads. I'm presently on a quest to find a company, somewhere near Florida, that will re-chrome my wheels.
The Prowler is a great hobby and a pleasure to drive. I hope to meet other Prowler Owners in N.E. Florida. I have only seen three Prowlers in the Jacksonville area. Maybe they are just like me and only let their cats out on nice Sunday afternoons.

Looking at your members photo album, I see that yellow is the most popular color. Is that because of the heat down there or are they just the cheapest!!!

When we purchased our "YELLER CAT" in June 2000 we had a choice of yellow or black and decided with the south FL heat yellow would be the best choice. 8-)

welcome to the site. as a part time floridian (have my future retirement home and 99 red kat in ft myers), i dont get to use either the home or prowler nearly as often as i would like. i have seen several other prowlers around the state. nice to learn about the florida club as well. hope to become more of an active member here myself. anyway.. welcome. the folks here seem like a really congenial group.
