Uhhh - I don't really know what to say

LONDON - Keith Richards has acknowledged consuming a raft of illegal substances in his time, but this may top them all.
In comments published Tuesday, the 63-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist said he had snorted his father’s ashes mixed with cocaine.
“The strangest thing I’ve tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father,” Richards was quoted as saying by British music magazine NME.

“He was cremated, and I couldn’t resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn’t have cared,” he said, adding that “it went down pretty well, and I’m still alive.”

I read that earlier today. I'm a big Stones fan, but I'm sorry, that's just too weird for me! A lifetime of drugs must have rotted what sense of decency he started out with when he was young.

I don't mind being cremated (when I'm dead), but being snorted is not something I will put in my will.

Makes me feel a little creepy too. I knew and worked for both Keith and his father for almost 10 years here in Ct. Shared a few glasses of wine with both of them. They both treated me great, I saw his father every week. Saw and talked to Keith on a regular basis when he was not on tour. Met Ronnie Woods. It was sad when Bert passed away. Keith is WAY out there, but this is maybe too much. If it is true ,he probably thought he was honoring his dad in some crazy way. I don't know.:burnout :?:

LONDON - Keith Richards was joking when he claimed to have snorted his father’s ashes along with cocaine, a spokesman said Wednesday.
“It was an off-the-cuff remark, a joke, and it is not true. File under April Fool’s joke,” said Bernard Doherty of LD Communications, which represents the Rolling Stones.
Doherty declined to say any more about why Richards made the statement in an interview with NME, a pop music magazine.
