Hi all,
Months ago, I was poking around the net for a Plymouth Convertible and was looking late 60's and early 70's. I didn't want a big project car nor did I want a vehicle with a lousy restoration. Google searches would drum up a Prowler here and there. I knew of the Prowler but I didn't have a great deal of feeling for them. After looking at various articles of the Prowler's History my feelings were redirected.
An Aluminum Frame? OMG are you kidding me - Awesome. Why-o-Why is it so difficult to find 'quality' images of this frame. Aluminum Body - Whoa. Aluminum Engine and comfort items like leather, air, power windows, locks, alarm - NICE! I needed a closer look.
I found several for sale in the Chicago area and focused on one that had low miles and a high price early this year. It was a '99 Red with 4,350 miles. I'm told the owner was liquidating some of his vehicles for other expenses. The price had dropped as time past and in September I bought it.
Neat Car. It's all Original. The only thing I don't see is the car cover. I may be wrong, I thought each Prowler came from the factory with the cover. I've parked it for the winter. Perhaps I'll visit some shows in 2012.

Thanks,
It's good to see some body-less shots. I like this image from Alcoa's workshop but the size and quality is fairly low;

I don't require the car cover but can't help wondering if the vehicle is missing something from the factory. I have a Q about the body panel fitment. I'll snap a photo this weekend and post some Q's.
drive it up to Madison this Sunday, and we'll answer your questions first hand! :)
