Can anyone get the POA site up?
I have not been able to get the home page up since yesterday evening and
just wondering if they have site problems or have I been :banned

David,

If you would do a search on my posts on the past 2 or 3 days.
I don't remember posting anything at all that would be questionable.

Thanks

Kat Hunter, I looked you up in the POA members list and all looks OK. Did a search on your posts and had no problems either.

You may need to clear your cache or something technical that I'm unable to help with.

I've been blocked... I can get on at work no problem but at home it just doesn't load up. I've cleared the history, dumped the cookies without making a difference. then I used a proxy site and got on no problem....

You don't have to say or do much to get :banned ....

maybe you said something in a PM... they get read by the moderators.

Jim, How true on the PM situation. I stopped using the PM system when I found out it wasn't private, then I was using the email part until they did away with that. Now I don't do anything but an occasional post now and then. Always have to watch your back over there.

As David said in the other thread...lots of ego and power hungry bitches over there. Control freaks too I say!

Don't need a PM either to get you banned, by just posting here or just by being Jimbo's pal, you get black-listed too :devil :devil :devil

I rather have Jimbo on my buddy list than to pay taxes and be a brown noser! :tu: :tu: :tu:

If your name doesn't say "unregistered" there should be no reason why you can't open their site. They will block your IP address if you have had your password blocked. You can use a proxy address and view everything. I'll "PM" you the site I use. Dreamcast helped me with that. :tu: You really don't have to do anything except disagree with some opinion of those who think they are in charge & you'll get banned/blocked whatever you want to call it. It's all about control, power, greed. As the others have said already, never use their "Private Message" system as it's anything but. They even did away with individual email address links so they can control how you can contact any other members on the site. A real dictatorship exist there!

Stay here and have lots of FUN, FUN, FUN.....say whatever you wish.

Thanks for the PM. I can get to the other site using the proxy server link.
I'm not showing up as unregistered. I did clear the cache and reboot the
machine, still no luck.

sometime they spank you before the official beating...they could be waiting for you to beg back via email to Mike Hunt...

I think they have blocked you IP but don't have the nuts to show another "unregestered member"... but if you can't get in unless you use a proxy... the writing is on the table...your IP is blocked..

The IP address block is BS - VERY few residential high speed connections have static IPs

Just unplug power from your cable modem or DSL modem tonight when you go to bed

When you wake up plug it back in you will have new IP address

I got high speed both at work and home...work is fine, home stalls half way through loading then dies....
proxy works great from home...

I am in the same boat. I cannot get through the loading of the site. What have I done ? I spoke my mind about some Nascar stuff, so what? Is it possible that my only crime is to be a memeber here? I would like to think that certain people could not be that petty. Did I say Petty, where did he finish today..........?? lol:-P  Anyway, what has happened to Hali and others(and maybe me) IS petty and uncalled for...imo.:!: Remember Rodney...."can't we all just get along?"

It would be sad if they were sending that type of message....
not surprizing, but sad none the less...

especially when it really doesn't work and we can still peek in anyways;-)

For the record, the problems are with the POA......NOT this site! :tu: there is reference over there from the almighty comparing their problems to other sites having similar problems!

wow thats a new one .... now its everyones server...lol

There is nothing wrong with this server.
99.9% of the time everything is totally transparent.
If you are not a spammer then you will never likely see any "server issues" here

The time and trouble needed to ban the number of IPs that seems to be going on is amazing...
Im far too lazy for that

I was having problems accessing the other site also. Unplugged my modem for awhile like Doug suggested. Plugged it back in awhile ago and now have no problems accessing it.

Really not sure if that was the problem, but it's worth a try for those that are experiencing problems.

its easy to test -

go to www.whatismyip.com and write down the ip address - thats what the "evil empire" is banning

then unplug THE POWER from your cable modem or dsl modem and go to bed

Wake up - plug the modem back in and go back to whatismyip.com

see if its changed - if its changed AND you can now get to a site ... the changes may be related

It is always a pleasure to jump to a conclusion that serves it's own purpose, as I did. But in further checking with on line help from AOL I was told it was a problem with "dial up" and AOL was not the only server with the problem. Guess I woud say that too if the competition was not having the problem. I was able to access through Internet Explorer. Tonight it is back to fine and fast for a change.
I do not always agree with all that is professed on both web sites and have usually said so, on both sites, and I feel I have friends on both sites also and have NOT been banned - - - - - - - YET?:devil :tu:

but I don't have AOL or Dial up and it still happened to me...my Internet Explorer is what I use....

explanation denied !
