You guys have to understand, EVERYONE starts off new somewhere!! I'm an aged veteran on many sites with other hobbies, so I cringe when I seem to ask remedial questions to those in the know!!
I'm in Illinois, sooooo..... I have to have a front license plate, where do I go for the bracket??
Thanks! Dave

I have the prowler connection bracket. While it is nice stainless, I am not happy with it and would not recommend it. I haven't tried Mac's but it looks like it would be way better.
My advice... NO plate.
Wisconsin (where we live) also requires a front plate.
We have a 2002...never had a plate on it... been in 15 (or so)
states with it..never been stopped/asked for one.
Keep the extra in the trunk. Don't worry about it til it happens.
JMO of course.

I have ran for 7 years without one in Illinois and never had a problem yet.
I did recently get one of mac's brackets, not sure if or when I might install it.
Oh, and Mac posts under Galaxie here, if you do a search you can probably find the bracket info on here.

charger68, thanks for your interest in my plate bracket. I'm all sold out of the license plate bracket & plan not to make any more, unless I get at least 5 people who want one. It's just not cost effective to do one at a time. I only have two of the accent bars left at this time.........Mac (galaxie).

Thanks for the response Mac, I really like the look of your product and would have liked to have gone that way if you still had one, but I will take the advice of the "rebels" and go nekid in the front, till they pull me over!
Thanks again! Dave

I got pulled over by the sheriff and asked why I didnt have a front plate...I said I do its in the trunk because I dont know where to put it on the car ... He looked and looked and said there has to be a place , I said well i know this but where is that place ? he said I dunno so I said that makes two of us , what should i do ? He said maybe place it between the bumpers ...I looked puzzled and replied If this was yours would you do that? ..HELL NO  He replied ... We chuckled and he let me go after saying that it was one great looking car ...and thats it :tu::rll::rll::rll:

With all the stuff going on with the discussion of license plate frames, we did some checking
and found that in fact Chrysler has produced a frame that goes on the front bumper.
Having removed our bumpers a long time ago, we did not realize that there were dimples in the
bumper to mark where the frame should be secured.
So we checked with our local Chrysler dealer, placed an order and had a frame (OEM) in two
days. We only did this so that at some point in the future when we sell the car, it will be available
to the new owners in case they live in a state requiring a front plate.

I can't figure out how to add the picture to my post but if you go to my photo's there's one of my Kat back in NH where they are nuts about having a front plate.
I made my mount out of 3/4" aluminum tubing. Drill out two rivets under the nose and bolt it on. Made from 3 pieces and welded up, made sure to put a slant on the piece the plate bolts to (match's the slope of the grille). Installed plastic inserts to finish the ends then painted it satin black to not stand out.
Thank goodness I now live in a state that doesn't even issue a front plate!!!!

I think most states require a front plate.I am in California. Two years ago I was at a car show, Cruzen for a cure. And some guy walks up and says where's your front plate? He showed me his badge and says you know it's being enforced now.
Then the A$$ Hole goes on to say he also had a car here for the show and that he had no front plate then he showed me his badge again and said he didn,t need one.
I told him to F#ck off and take your arrogant attitude some where else...
Sorry, I had to share this true story. Theres always that 65% that have this kind of attitude.
I to put a plate bracket on my car wich is mounted under the nose by the 2 screws that hold the nose on made of stainless, since I am bumperless. I am surprized the A$$ Hole didn't tell me about them being missing? I don't believe the guy that made mine is still making them. I would not want to put one on the bumper though.

Thanks for the pics Mrs. P!:tu:
I used the (factory) plate frame pictured above. I then cut a piece of 1" steel and had a buddy of mine weld it up for me. I then drilled two holes and attached it below the nose of my kat.
If I remember correctly...Sno helped me out with the bracket dimensions.:tu:
