Don't give them to much to do while there or you won't have many doing a group thing. ( they'll all be doing there own thing ) and it is hard to plan for a group thing when only 1/2 do the group thing.

I know after this last event while planning for food for people and only less then 1/2 went on the run I had to scramble to let the people who owned the restaurant know the attendance would be cut in half, they were not so happy with me.

Agreed, Event planners put a lot of work into these events so please people try and do the planned trip with the group. I saw what happened in the UP and it was not good, Jerry put a lot of effort into the daily trips and people just went and did their own thing. We will have a lot of free time to do whatever you want, and we try real hard to make everyone happy.

Maybe it would be a good idea to only have a "group" activity every other day. That way people have plenty of time to do what they want in their own groups.
