Can anyone recommend a reputable place that chromes plastic parts? I appreciate any input you guys may have.

Thanks and have a good day!

Brian: I did some research, and so did Piddler. There's no guranteed 'show' quality ones out there. Most of them use the vacuum technique.

In all honesty, I would have tried one of the many local shops, but don't have the time (re-chroming our flakey crappy Prowler wheels take top priority).

You should just move back to SoCal..you can't beat the number of shops providing such auto services. The traffic and smog ain't that bad on Sundays...just ask Pepe :devil (heard he's moving to Malibu)

SHIT man,

I'm STILL thinking of buying EITHER that house up in Bel Air OR the one
right on the coast in Malibu next to Streisand but all the travel back and
forth to Bama would kill me :devil

Hey...it's no mansion but where in Southern Cal can you get land like this (1.2 acres) for under 500K?

My lovely wife was born and raised in Long Beach. She just loves living in NH.

Thanks so much guys for you input on plastic chrome platers. Like any good company...you can't expect to just thumb through the Yellow Pages and find someone good. Word of mouth is always your best bet.

I'll let you guys know who I go with and how it came out.

Nice home,

Yah, over here where I live I have a 7250 sq ft. lot and everyone thinks that is HUGE for the area I live in. Of course it's easy over the .5 mil marker I'm sure it will be a castle in Oklahoma... :tu:

Thanks Eli!

My wife said she wouldn't want a bigger home than this. "Too much to clean!!!"

I know where she's coming from.

Nice house and nice setting Bri!

Here in the Washington, DC area the cost of living is outrageous!

My house is $630K and I have no yard and I live in a townhouse! When you move to Washington, your standard of living takes a serious hit.

Hey Bri - who did you end up going with to chrome your wheels?

Eli...

You don't have to live in CA to have overpriced real estate. Have you ever been to Boca Raton in Palm Beach Cty FL? that's where we lived for the last 19 years and real estate skyrocketed a couple of years ago. It is now coming back down somewhat but so much on the market it's moving very slowly. For .5mil there you can have a townhome like you live in but with only 2000 sq ft.

Sorry to take this thread off track. :)

Well to keep this thread off track ... Nancy ... I bought my condo pre-construction over 3 years ago for 550 and it's not even ready to close yet .... (thought I stole it) and its just shy of 2,000 square feet. LOL

South Florida is turning into southern cal with the pricing.

Bri - Have you gotten your wheels back yet or are they still at the shop? I'm anxious to see the final result.

Eli has had them for only a few weeks. From what I can tell...they're coming out GREAT!

I remember the pics you posted of your set of rims.

I will show you the pics Bob, once I get them.

I feel very confident with Eli!!!:tu:

This is who I ended up going with Pepe.:tu:

I will show you what they did for me in Tulsa. A little pricey but I imagine it must not be easy to chrome plastic.

Only one flaw I could find but hey...nothings perfect.

Cooool, can't wait to see it Brian ! :tu:

You're right - they WERE a little pricey but they've done a great job on our

door handles and since I PERMANENTLY scraped the chromed grill, it wasn't

too bad $$ wise
