Just talked to a semi local dealer about the GT 500's and the Foose conversion.
GT500 hardtop car $50,000 give or take + a $16,000 market upcharge.
Convertible Gt500 $60,000 range + the $16,000 market upcharge.
Foose non supercharged $50,000 +/-. Supercharged 425 hp $60,000 +/-.
I think I would get the Foose:mrgreen: before giving the dealer an extra $16,000 for nothing.
YIKES ....... that's even worse
By thee way ........ Beware of the "Road Kill Edition" coming soon,
Black in Black with 425 hp

$43560 would be a good buy if it is a true factory Shelby.
All the parts on the Shelby Mustang are available from Shelby.
The same dealer as above had a Shelby clone sitting on the showroon floor. They said they did it because some of their customers wanted the Shelby look, but wanted an automatic. This particular car was a convertible with an automatic. They were honest that it was a clone and I think it was in the $45,000 range.
It would not take much for an unscroupuless dealer to convert a regular stang and try to pass it off as a Shelby. I'm sure there are ways to tell the difference, but offhand I don't know what they are.
It's amazing, already cloning cars that are still on the showroom floors.
Same dealer also has a original 67 (?) Hertz Shelby GT-350 sitting on the showroom floor. It was missing two original pieces (carb and ?) and was and older restoration that also needs paint. For the low low price of $149,000 you can take it home today.
