:banana:Hello fellow FL Kat Pack Members,

It’s time to plan our spring adventures. I had planned to create one event for the 22-24 of April that would be the 2nd Annual “Jim Warner Memorial Cruise”. The event would start in Central FL for dinner on Friday night and end up in St. Augustine on Saturday, with a stay over on Saturday night (also Friday night for those coming from a greater distance). As with the first cruise, we would be driving through Central FL to the coast by using a lot of back roads and seldom seen roads. This would be a weekend event. However, the dates need to change as that is Easter Weekend. The new dates are April 15-17th.

I’ve been asked to arrange another event for the spring and want to know what you think about this plan. Most importantly, I need to know when you would like to do the trip below. Take into consideration that the Love Bugs will be in bloom during the first couple of weeks in May. I’m thinking the 20-22nd of May or we could even move the Jim Warner Cruise up into March and do the Military Cruise in April.

Please give me your response to either of the events and when you think we should plan them (dates?). If you do want to do either or both, please make that known to me also, so I can plan the event. I would like at least 12-15 Kats if possible to attend each event.

FRIDAY MORNING:
We would all meet in Ocala and drive to Biloxi, MS, about an 8.5 hour trip taking lunch along the way and maybe a sight or two.

SATURDAY MORNING
After spending the night in Biloxi, we would drive to Mobile, AL to the USS Alabama and USS Drum exhibit (a battleship and submarine). The exhibit also includes various static aviation exhibits.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON:
From there, we would drive approximately about 7 hours to Macon, GA (includes eating along the way) and spend the night there.

SUNDAY LATE MORNING:
In the morning we would drive to the Warner Robin Air Force base aviation museum and tour the facilities. The facility has a slew of old and newly decommissioned aircraft of all types.

After the tour, we would all drive home from there. This event will involve a lot of hours on the road. I know I have interest by about 6 Kat Pack members at this time. We’ll need to about double that number to make it a good Prowler event and get the group lodging discounts .

If these events interest you, please respond with an email with your choices of dates for each event and whether or not you would attend either one or both.
