Wow seven cars? I know the first 4. They might win one along the way. Never heard of the rest. :vomit:

Waltrip, mayfield and Jarrett just plain sucked last year...:vomit:
Waltrip even had to buy his way into one race because he couldn't qualify...
The Toyota trucks did good first year in ...
this will be interesting...

Once they announced Toyota was in, I dropped all my race tickets and I haven't watched a complete race since the rice trucks started running. On top of that, they are not stock cars anymore. They have no resemblence to what we drive.

To screw things up even more, NASCAR plans to use the COT (car of tomorrow) for 10 races this year. If anyone has seen this, they need to take the 'S' out of NASCAR. I'm old school should be running cars people drive! - MKAT

I agree with you MKAT. They can take the "N" out too. I never heard of any good ole' boy talking about runnin' moonshine in his Toyota Corolla! So what we have left is ACAR.

I remeber the good old days in Nascar... I wasn't a big fan, but I did follow it in the 70's pretty steady...
I faded away from Nascar over time because I just got tired of watching 1,2 or 3 cars lapping everyone and the winner taking the checked flag half a lap ahead of the second place car. This was not the rule, and there was some races that didn't end this way, but a lot of them did and I found it boring.
Quite a few years back I got back into it.. probably because i wanted to see someone knock the #3 car down a notch or put Jeffy into the wall.
I pretty much like it as it is now, except that they should limit teams to 2 cars only... I think I enjoy it more now than ever...
This is just my own opinion, I know you guys will respect it as much as I do yours....
Hell... its all about speed.... whatever the venue.. i love it all:nana2

The interesting thig to me is that 35 spots are already tied up for the first 5 races. That means at Daytona that there will only be 2 cars from each of the 125's that will gain a spot, plus a past champion (probably Awesome Bill from Dawsonville) so the Toyota's will have their work cut out to get 5 in the race. My guess is they will get 3. I must wish them bad luck in this regard. :devil :devil

"The best driver in the bunch is Vickers.."
I'll have to disagree. AJ Allmendinger....#84 is most likely the best race car driver among that group [many of which are 'has beens']. It'll take AJ a year to adjust to NASCAR cup cars,,,he'll be in there crashing a few,,,,but as for pure talent, this kid is as good as it gets. He comes from open wheel racing [CART],,,,,,and can flat ass drive the wheels off!!! Just remember his name,,,in time,,,,,you'll see him in the winner's circle.
Mills - ten years ago I would have agreed with you,,,,but its time to give in to Toyota. They build many cars and trucks in the U.S. now,,,and provide jobs. Toyota is #2 automaker,,,,,and like it or not,,,,,will be #1 soon. By 2008,,,we'll see Toyota winning races in NASCAR. Will take some time,,,,but they'll get it right. They have deep pockets of $$$ to spend.

A car had a sticker on the back window that said:
Imports are like Tampons
