See Big Cats and Prowl down Merritt Island
When: Saturday, March 3, 2007
Where: Cocoa Beach Area
Calling All Prowler Owners;
This is a rare opportunity to visit the Thunderhawk Big Cat Preserve (not open to the public) and take a leisurely cruise down Merritt Island.
The Thunderhawk Preserve is a private, non-profit, volunteer organization which is dedicated to the preservation and rescue of “Big” cats (tigers, panthers, lions, cheetahs, leopards, cougars and more). They rescue big cats from life-threatening situations (e.g. where they would be killed or euthanized) or from people who cannot take care of them anymore. They are willing to give us a guided tour of the facility and in return help them with some much needed donations. We might be able to get a photo op with a big cat and our Prowlers.
After a tour of the Thunderhawk Big Cat Preserve there will be a guided, leisurely cruise down Merritt Island. This is a great drive with plenty of scenery and photo ops. We will conclude our scenic drive in Melbourne with an early dinner overlooking the Intercoastal waterway.
Plan on meeting at 11AM just off I-95 Exit 202 (3 miles south 528 AKA Beachline Hwy). This unique event, centrally located on Florida’s East Coast and I am anticipating a large turnout. Please RSVP by Friday, February 23, 2007. More details to follow.
Thank You;
