Fisherman have now realized that the threat of oil in the gulf might not be as bad as expected. There is now a new fish offered on the market at a very reasonable price. Instant fish frying. You just add the pan, the fish comes with it's own grease for frying!:frown:

I love going to the beach, watching the kids hunt for tar balls. It gives more meaning to the words Tar Babies.:shock::shock::shock:

Not really meant to be funny as just to make light of a terrible situation. We can't do a damn thing about it and neither is the goverment. Surely BP isn't doing a damn thing about it. They are more worried about capturing the oil they are loosing because of money than protecting our shores and wild life. We can't do a damn thing about Obama either so everyone is making jokes about him to.

Look, I totally agree Blackcat. I own a beach house that we rent out in Gulf Shores,Ala.. Even if I don't talk about the money this is going to cost me, I can say how much it is going to ruin the most beautiful place I love to go relax, for me and everyone else!

Not to get off subject, but very few people are questioning why the oil companies even have to drill in the ocean at 5000 ft!!!!

Accidents happen, and this one may have been preventable, only time and investigations will tell. But it is a lot easier to deal with a problem on the land or even only 100 feet or so deep!!

So once again, anyone, what is the chain of events that led to oil companies being forced to drill in deep water?

One other thing to consider, according to federal law, BP is only on the hook for 75 million. Depending on what sources you use for information BP has already spent or has pledged to spend close to a billion dollars. I would say that they are stepping up to the plate pretty good in trying to clean up their mess.
