Had a big fight with Hertz after they tried to give us a Mercury junk and Taurus...finally got them to give us a decent ride.

DC - so that is where you were heading,,,,,,I thought you were going to Vegas. Maui,,,,,,did you travel to the lighthouse on the northern coast? What a rough road that was back twenty years ago. Hope ya make it to the big island and visit Kona and Hilo,,,,and travel the island completely. The volcano, the waterfalls, and the Black Sand beach are really kewl.

AC: No, we regret not taking the northern route cuz going to the summit took up half a day. Will do it the next time! Stayed @ the Prince Hapuna in Kona 2 years back..have to to Big Island again!

Jimbo: The rental stang was so beaten up..we took it off-road like it was a Jeep Wrangler (hey..i asked them to gimme the Jeep..but they said no) :mrgreen:

KrzyKat: The Mercedes Golf was at Kapalua right at that time. I was whupping Tiger....not on the golf course, but overtaking his spanking new Mercedes CL in the Stang. We didn't win the Mercedes Draw which the top prize IS a Mercedes. Lodsa Mercedes sponsored new cars rolling around though. We stayed @ Sheraton Maui. I'm pretty much a SPG guy when possible.

Scott: It was so dirty due to the rain and 'off-road' adventures it was embaressing. Quik-Detailer? More like....'when izzit gonna rain again and wash off the mud?' :rolleyes:

Sheraton Maui is on Kaanapoli Beach, which is where we ended up beach-bumming!
We also snorkelled at the Black Rock! Pictures will be posted once we scan in the Lomo films!
