The Russo and Steele Collector Car Auction in Arizona this past weekend was battered by a Hugh Storm. Hail, Torrential Rain, Wind, Lightning etc. A lot of Collector Cars damaged from collapsing Tents and Poles and Hail.
Check out the damage to the vehicles, if you can stomach it..

Regulatr insurance won't pay for some of it right. I mean you may get it painted but will they cover a $5,000 paint job.

I think it will depend on the type of coverage on the car and the deductibles that might apply. It will be a mess to sort out.

How is it going to work for people who just bought an auction car, then it is damaged? That seems like an even bigger mess. OUCH!!

I was out of town the past four days, but from what I've 'heard',,,,,it was an act of God so the auction owners are probably off the hook, and the car owner's individual insurance coverage falls into place

There is going to be some totally pissed car owners, if that is the case. Somewhere I read,,,,that either Haggerty or Grundy state you must have your car in sight when you have it out away from home,,,,how will that play out in the settlement? Maybe Tabasco can help explain how that works?

Damage pictures from the area are awful > 60 to 75mph winds. At that time, I was about 75 miles south of Phx driving through a dust storm with '0' visibility on Interstate 10, and it was a nightmare!

It will be interesting to see how these car owners come out of this,,,I wish them good luck.....

...my son and I were at BJ Thurs nite when the storm hit...thought it was all coming down there too...our hotel was just a couple of blocks from R-Steel and we had trees down and the streets were flooded...Fri morn we headed to R-Steel and it was closed, same Saturday, so we went to BJ all 3 days...Arizona weather was just like Indiana this year, cold rainy and it sucked
