Continue milking the platform with new paint job?
why didn't they add a kick-ass turbo and sports suspension?
bleah...they're dead in the water..

My son had a 2002 PT and he really liked it. He finally sold it last year with 110,000 miles on it. All in all, it was a trouble free car for him.

i have several friends who own or have owned a pt.curuiser and generally liked them very much. primary complaints were lack of performance, inferior materials used on interior and general US quality.(pretty much the same complaints i have against the prowler). as for design however, like the prowlers, they were winners.... too bad they didnt really kick them up on performance..

I own two versions: an '05 GT with the high output turbo
(220 horses from that piddly ass 148 cubic inch four banger)
& an '04 base model with the same engine normally aspirated
(which stock puts out 150 horses). Added a cold air filter on
both plus that Vortec Cyclone device later on.
The turbo felt better with the cold air filter, but the base model
really improved quite dramatically. Doing zero to forty the base's
tachometer would hit 5,000 rpm. With the cold air filter it fell to
3,800 plus accelerated faster than without. Didn't notice any real
difference with the Vortec on the turbo, but once again there was
a big difference in the base model. The first test drive it felt like
it was ready to take off, which my girlfriend agreed.
Also added a cold air filter to my Kat. Should try out a Vortec
on it as well.
