Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon
Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require
veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540
million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries
to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The
President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the
opposition to his proposal.
"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody
made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It
doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to
sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for
blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the
selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'
And FINALLY,
From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
Can you guess who wrote these, read his books people, This guy has got to go!!!!

The blue quoted words above were not actually spoken by Obama but were written in a satorical piece commenting on his administrations proposal earlier this year for Veterans private health insurance companies to pick up the tab for service related injuries.
I read about this months ago on a political website forum and the fact the Obama actually proposed this stupid idea got lost in the online argument of his exact words. The Dems were all irate that the Conservatives were post lies about what Obama actaully said. (like that has never happened from their side) The real important issue here isn't Obama's words (those seem to be only words, not action anyway most of the time) but the fact that he really did propose that Veterans who injured in service may face higher private health care insurance costs or possibly be denied insurance because the government wanted their insurance to pay for the medical costs.

I'd say more like 80% cuts. :tu::tu::tu::tu:
For easy math take obamas 400,000 plus salary. Cut by 80%, $80,000/yr is still more that the average salary in the US.
These people are supposed to be serving the people of the country, (just like the military), not using the offices to enrich themselves.:mad::mad:
